Insurance inspection anyone?

Just wondering if any MMAR growers had insurance inspections at home while you had a legit licensed grow?
Company sent me an email, they want to come in, but they did not give me a timeline, I called and asked them, and all they said is I am on a list to be inspected and that they will be in touch.
I did not want to ask them if they need access to every room because I did not want to draw attention, can I tell them no you can not go in my bedrooms? (Legal legit grow in my spare bedroom).
Do I just tell them come back in 8 weeks when crop is done and shut down for a day? Do I just tell them(if they ask) straight up I am a med grower and this is my legal garden?

Anyone else have this problem in the past?

i would give them access to only where the ladies are. they're there to inspect your grow..not your home.
i would make sure their timing is at a time where it's OK to "light up" your grow room.
if they come when the lights are off, I think that would mess up your crop

I shudder to think of strange dirty people with their dirty cootie infested clothes coming near my room...
I don't think the OP insurance company know about the grow.
Seems the inspection is just routine? Though I have never had my insurance company check inside my house.

I think you have me confused, they need to inspect for insurance they do not know about my ladies.

no INS personnel need enter your house to add you to their list,
I have had house ins for many years and with different houses and never once has an INS person shown to make that deal. Just a simple phone call, it is your word after all.

dont tell anyone you grow. dont let anyone in your home. If i were you, id disregard the email. Wait til someone shows up claim the home owner isnt home, your a renter, dont have permission, never given notice, dont allow strangers in your home etc... worst case...switch companies!! my insurance on my home is 54$ for 200.000$ in property, insurance on my grow is 290$ a month for 30,000$ in property. If you think showing them will help you ...nuh uh. Give them excuses and over react with bad attitude when they try and follow up. If they threaten to cancel you, cancel them 1st as it does harm your insurance history.

You can only have one insurance policy per house or building. You might want to drop the current insurance and sign up with LMG, then your house and grow can both be covered. I've only had to send pictures to LMG.
Your wiring should be done under permit, so you don't void your insurance. Make sure you have fireboard behind your ballasts. You should have an approved(date) fire extinguisher, and a light above your exit that comes on when the power goes out if your room is large enough. They don't like extension cords, especially with multiple plug ins.
I would get a friend to call the insurance company you have now, from a different number and ask what their policy is about med grows. They may use the safety authority, building inspector or fire inspector to get in if you refuse entry.

This brings up a big question: what are the insurance companies going to do about the home built home grows?

Fuk Scott Wilkins...LMG are as greasy as the LP's. He's making huge $$$ off the backs of sick folks. He's just raping peeps for shitty coverage, again no better than the LP's.

They will be NO standard homeowners insurance policies until well after Rec legal comes into play.

good point.
if you agree to an inspection i guess i would tell them they have to "suit up" and if they refuse, they can't go in

Well, what about losing a half million when your house burns down and the insurance company dosen't cover you?

Well if you like paying more than double standard policies, and only get approx 1/3 of what your total loss is...go with LMG! Otherwise, duke it out with insurance and you'll likely win....eventually.
