yellowing starting at the bottom is N deficiency or lockout
I've used no nutes until just now. Growing in Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil.

I think it's N deficiency from PH being low.

Any ideas on supplements to bring it up? Don't like using PH up if I don't have too.

Blend a tablespoon of lime into a gallon of water. Water the plants and pour the lime that didn't disolve onto the soil and mix it into the surface.

I wouldn't bother so much with your pH in soil, provided there's organic matter (humus) it should act as a buffer from the pH swinging out of control.

Cool site Cobby bro, think I'll update my vero18s with citi 1212s. Been out of the loop for a while, cool to see a DIY store that has what I want in stock lol.

organic matter as it breaks down increase acid. And if its already low, it will only get worse. Normally, no, you wouldn't bother or even check ph. But something caused this issue and it won't self correct.

Hence the word humus: organic matter that has already broken down. Topdress those plants with worm shit and alfalfa, or fish, or some local green matter high in N.

A uniform yellow on lower leaves in N deficiency. Yellow ( also called chlorotic ) with green veins on lower leaves is caused by a micro nutrient deficiency, in order of likelihood: Boron, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, or Zinc. Azomite or bottled micro-nutrients will fix it ( check your ph first ).

Same problem I'm having

I've been doing this a long time and you won't fix this issue this way.In a garden yes it can help, in a pot, you may as well chop a 1/3 or the roots off and and the humus etc to the bottom of the pot..... or just hope it doesn't die or simply become a waste of time.

Lime or baking soda are about all that will correct this issue. And no, gypsum won't work either as it won't buffer the soil.

Yes, your solution sounds like you have tons of experience. Pull the plant out and mangle its rootball. My original post wasn't directed towards you and I care not to discuss soil with someone who thinks vermicompost won't help his plant; you've clearly never made and used your own VC. I was simply trying to help kaivorth.

That was what I was doing. And I was being snarky about the rootball, yet, it can be done, with canna, its not worth it unless re-potting a mother plant.
And if you want to believe that VC alone will fix this issue, well you just go ahead.

And sorry, I won't hijack this thread again. I said my piece.

Hey CK,

I'm trying to order a cob setup from your website. I've reached out via email but I'm not sure if that is the best way to get in touch. It was for 8 CXM22s on running on 2 drivers.

I'm looking to place the order tonight :)

Good looks.

Thanks bro. How long did it take for them to ship out? I know there's a week turn around time according to the website, but Im wondering how long it took for you?

Thanks bro!

Thanks for the go ahead. As you skewed, I suggested a mix of VC and some kind of organic matter high in N. Although VC alone would help, the mixture is tailored to his problem. He's not repotting a mother.

If you're using synthetic nutrients, kaivorth/chuckie, I think they will fix your problem although your soil and plant will become reliant on reapplication. Some kind of fish emulsion would be great otherwise, if you're unable to go the vermicompost route.

Running 4 CLU048-1212's wired in series, ~144v/~200w, sounds like a bad idea on these, yes? I can't post links but it seems like where you can find ratings for these things (digikey, not really the amazon/ebay listings) it's typically 12v 5a. They do accept thick wire, but whatever is inside sounds like the weak link.

At 3:07 growmau5 is using the same connectors I have for a high voltage setup but doesn't mention any voltage/current concerns.. I use them for 12v applications like my heat sink fans, and ~20v low current solar applications, but for connecting remote drivers to my fixture it seems a little... sketch?
