Investor looking for business partnership: Dispensary, Compassion Center, Collective

U need a lot of time, money, and connections. You need to talk to the city ahead of time and hopefully come to some agreement on location and how the business will work. Remember whenever it comes to politics you almost certainly will need friends in high places! Unfortunately it may be necessary to talk to local LEO's to reduce your exposure to an unwelcome "no knock" visit. If the city council and local LEO's permit it then get a really good attorney on retainer( Matt Abel, the cannabis counsel). Then find a building for lease with a marijuana friendly landlord. Next, research some qualified caregivers to supply the meds u will need, don't just take any thing that comes along. Only provide quality organic meds as this is natures true medicine. Finally remember to be compassionate in ur pricing and provide top notch products and services.

I think the most imperative part of the plan is location. Do some research and find a place that suits your needs and has marijuana enforcement low on their list. You could take a note from the guys at Battle Creek Compassionate Care Center and find a city/township that is too broke to prosecute you even if they wanted to!LOL!

Anyways, good luck to you and if you get this up and running I hope you can set a good example for the whole MMM community.

a post from a thread where you were bashing me and calling me Ignorant woodsman:
The last two post entries remind me of things said to me about using a computer in the early 80s; simply ignorant opinions that were never requested.
I certainly understand the benefit to using technology to advance and simplify. They are being created and sold online. “due to the need”. (Need like, cell phones, laptops, digital data trackers of any sort, etc. We create new needs with advancement) Regardless of those who lag in advancement and marijuana cultivation legality.
If my dispensary employees track their work and report it to my office via “pad of paper”, they will be fired... We hide nothing, and report everything. Anything that has been done or neglected to be, is reported. Any problems with the growing system, triggers an alert. Any changes made to a particular plants/strains growing program (individual systems per strain critiqued to the individual needs of each strain) will be changed after hours by our “canna scientist”, and then tracked via our monitoring program. In the morning when employees arrive they log in, check for updates and changes, and get to work with the new and current information. (beats handing around the pad of paper if you will..)
Hope this information helps, and gives folks a better idea of how monitoring becomes an important tool for successful operation when dealing with a vast amount of cultivation data.

-edit- and yes i would call telling me and another member that we are ignorant and our opinion in an open forum (which we stated very politely) is unwanted, bashing. iam only returning the favor friend.

hehe while i feel you on that, i will be letting this one go. i think my point has been made.
If you need me to be Frank
My wife and I thankfully are well off in times when I am fighting for life. Some of us here at RIU are sick, disabled, and dieing. We don’t operate business the way we used to and I expect no one understand the way I operate, nor do I care to share that part here. Thanks but no thanks, I don’t wish to educate you on who I am or even if ANY thing I say here is legitimate. I leave you to your opinion. I certainly didn’t ask for it however.
Good day Sir.

Though I know you’re in need of more like a hug than the facts, here are THE FACTS:
THREAD TITLE *IMPORTANT* any one know the best data managing programs for marijuana cultivation?
Abesmitty “I think im saying this right but bare with me, I need to know if anyone has hands on experience with a program that has to do with monitoring the readings for the temp, humidity, air flow, co2, etc.”
This is what was being asked for, and these are the following responses that I commented about:
1. Fisherman Pete “first of all, this question is frequently asked and frequently shot down because it's pointless and lazy” “it is just plain lazy and completely not worth the effort”
2. KlosetKing “i totally agree.” “Seems like the only reason you would want such software would be to completely automate”
My response: Woodsmantoker "The last two post entries remind me of things said to me about using a computer in the early 80s; simply ignorant opinions that were never requested."
Though this may imply that you were one who reminds me of days past, I did not state anything about your education or how it applies to that which is being asked however I now will.
If he asks for someone’s experience on running an automated system, it may imply that he too is planning to do so. Not anywhere in his question to RIU did it state that he was requesting opinions on the need for what he was asking.
Though you feel it is important to inform us of your relevant education: “i have a BA in Information Technology and Design with a Minor in Networking Technologies” I don’t see how that applies to knowing people with experience monitoring cannabis (“I need to know if anyone has hands on experience with a program that has to do with monitoring the readings for the temp, humidity, air flow, co2, etc.”) and the last I checked there is only one college that would. You can’t get those degrees there.
KlosetKing: “This is no foreign subject to me, and i stand by my statement. if you are a home grower, are not looking to fully automate your system, and are not running a dispensary/professional grow op, it is almost completely unnecessary.”
Obviously it is a foreign subject to you or you wouldn’t have said this, I however do have experience with the subject at the level of which you suggest, and the gentleman didn’t ask for level. You suggest that “unless he is wanting to fully automate”, so what’s to say he is not? I feel making comments like these listed based on assumption is nothing less than ignorant: 1. Lacking knowledge or education in general or in a specific subject. 2. Unaware of something 3. Resulting from lack of knowledge, caused by a lack of knowledge, understanding, or experience, an ignorant mistake.

iam sorry you misconstrued my statement. i was obviously (at least to me) stating that there are no subjects as far as computer software that are foreign to me. yes i may have less personal experience with one topic over another, but i am quite trained i assure you. you see, i HAVE dealt with monitoring software for growing, and again, i say it is only necessary if you wish to automate, or truly are running a business where you need to be keeping such records. the home grower for all intents and purposes probably should NOT be keeping these records, as many who are MMJ legal grow more than they should, and many others are not even legal at all. my opinion was not unwanted, and was far from ignorant. i also avoided details about what i used in the past A. because he did not state he wanted to automate and B. because again, that was indeed something that i only worked with briefly.

you on the other hand claimed to have implemented and so much as modified such software for a company, that by the appearance of this thread, does not even exist. your post clearly shows that you want to continue to ignore this FACT and twist my words into some meaning only you construed to hide your deception. My education taught me to use a computer inside and out, it is my lifeline, my passion (even growing comes second, and i really like what ive been learning about growing), and my profession. I learned in college how to LEARN anything i wanted or needed to about software or hardware on the job through research and implementation of the skills i was taught. You don't need to go to a special weed school just to learn how to operate a computer program that can be used for any number of applications, as it would really only be a complex form of excel (or any other number of apps meant for data entry and retention), or some sort of automation software.

keep dodging please, its funny.
