Iron Labs Testing

Hello All,
I have been getting my strains tested at Iron Labs and thought it would be a good idea to keep them all in one place so I started this thread. It seems there is some controversy about getting strains tested and how important it truly is, so I thought this could be a good place to have this discussion.
So far, I have learned a couple things that helped me improve my methods.
The first test I had done reveled a small amount of Mold in the sample and the second test showed a lot of damaged trichs.. After discussing the first test with the lab tech I determined that i had put it into the jars about 1 day early and didn't burp the jars as much as I should have. Both tests just reminded me of things I already knew but complacency had set in and I needed a wake up call.

Im hoping this thread can be a place to share what we learn from testing and also to discuss the politics of testing. I myself do not have strong feelings about the necessity of having strains tested for health reasons but do feel a lot can be learned from it.
So, anyone who wants to post up reports or just share their feelings or experiences about testing can feel free to do so. I only ask that we don't kill each other for having different opinions about it.

The guys at Iron Labs are very helpful and willing to discuss the results with you, give pointers to help you, and the test results don't seem to be artificially inflated.
So far, my experience with Iron Labs has been very positive and i plan to keep working with them, getting all my strains tested.

Did you know the Chem 4 had mold before you sent it in? Pretty cool though.

No I didnt. It was not visible to the naked eye and I could not taste or smell it. It may have only been in the one jar for all I know. I think it had just started molding so there still wasn't much formed.

What does the impurities mean? I see it on 2 samples that say no mold as well as the molded one Dr??
Impurities could be anything, 9 times out of 10 it's just dust...

I think Huel is correct. The molded sample had a small amount of micro fiber type hairs on it which probably came off my fingers when I put the sample in a container.. Strange thing though...on the other ones the detailed report they gave me said it didn't have impurities but the report i posted said it did. Not sure what happened there but I will talk to the tech about it sometime soon.

I found it a little strange that they're all about the same strength, with the chem 4 being te exception.

Is there any other places that do testing? Used to be a place in TC (elements or something) but I think they closed.

I thought the membership was $400, and then $40 a pop per test?? Are there different types of memberships?

I love how the price per test and membership price change every time someone starts another one of these threads Lol!

There is a one time membership fee of $175 (lifetime). This includes your first two tests. After that, individual tests are $40. You can purchase a 10 pack for $350. Edibles are $50.

Hope that clears things up...

Hmmm.....
I think the average is between 11 and 13% THC but the average of what is tested is probably around 15%. So, having all/most my samples fall in that range is not surprising at all to me. And , i think there is a big difference between 12% and 17%.....

Huel is correct again. Lifetime membership for $175. First 2 tests are free...$40 for Potency testing....and the terpene testing is $60 on its own but they do a combo potency and terpene for $75 . You can not get testing done without the membership.
You also get access to the web site, your own account, and you can talk to the Lab Techs and get lots of info.
