is 90 degrees too hot for seedlings?

Alright I was looking around at some different threads and some other sites and they all seem to say the same thing but with a little different temperatures.

The majority seem to say that a good amount will germinate moderately good in temps around 65(F)-70(F); Good in temps 70(F)-75; and excellent in 75-85(F) and to never Aexceed 85-90(F).

But some other growers on RIU are saying that 70-80 is alright, and that 80-90(F) is optimal and it's alright to go a little above 90 but never above 95.

So I guess my real question is, I have my seeds on a heating pad right now and the room temp is 77(F) and the pad normally heats the soil to about 83~87 but was peaking at about 90~92 this morning.

Am I just too worried and should I let them just chill :-? or should I try to find a better temperature balanced location?

I highly recommend germinating in a little cooler than room temp and DARK area. Then growing your seedlings from soil in 68-75. YOU NEVER WANT TO EXCEED 80 degrees...OPTIMAL is 68-75. Anything hotter is prime living conditions for WHITE POWDERY MILDEW, APHIDS, SPIDER MITES, the cooler the better. Don't drop below 62 degrees in my opinion. I garuntee if you keep them on a heating pad they WILL get powdery mildew and most like ROOT APHIDS.
