Is anyone doing big numbers with QB's in more commercial?

I may be building a licensed room in the future. 2 rows of 6 lights or 12 total. I may start with one room like that or two. I was thinking of putting 2 HPS in the row of six with 4 QBs. This would be the 4 board QB's fixture that supposedly slightly exceeds a SE HPS. I am not sure what HPS I would mix in yet or maybe I should just do all QB. I am hedging because I have made HPS work and have the experience.

I have the ability, with some effort, to pull 3 lb per one 1000 watt SE HPS using not that great and often slightly tired bulbs. This is with propane CO2.

Thanks for any input. :-)

Heyo my friend! I belive this might be what you're looking for.

He is currently running 10000w hps vs 15000w quantumboards in seperate rooms. You wont find anything closer to a commercial grow using quantumboards. If you do, please feel free to share with the rest of us ✌

Thanks.
Nice. The dude loves temp and humidity meters. Looks like 79.3 temps and pretty high humid around 59 to 63%. He definitely defoliates/schwazzes the lower leaves.

Can't argue with his results tho. He got 2.85ish gpw last grow ✌
He definitely puts in the work. 2.85 on HPS or QB or combined? The HPS fixtures look like they are cheaper wings. I am not criticizing. If he pulls good numbers with not so great HPS fixtures then more power to him. He has skills. It is a clean set up too.

I threw 72 gg4, banana og and skywalker x cherry pie under 9x hlg-550’s about 10 days ago. I wouldn’t call it commercial, but when the remaining 139 9 light rooms are built, it will definitely be large scale. They’re vegging really nice. I topped a week in and the new growth is amazing. Even 5’ off the canopy, everything is stacking nicely.

Thanks man. Wow. Sounds like a mega set up. How are your temps? What lights were you using before? Let us know how it goes. Awesome.

I was on a 6 year hiatus after a 25 year run of single ended 1000w HPS w hortilux super reds for both veg & bloom.
I used to own a hydro shop called Hooked On Ponics in L.A and a store in LV called the root guru. When lame ass prop 64 passed, I opened a consultancy/contractor firm called growpros.build. This is my first client. We’re making modular stackable insulated shipping containers. This first one is just a test/R&D project. The client bought and permitted/licenses land in the desert to go BIG. I was rocking 75-77 temps pre transplant, but now that I’m seeing roots out the bottom of my cubes I bumped up to 80.
I think the low temps were keeping things really squat. After topping 5 days ago, they barely grew 3” but the new growth is really compact and tight. Almost too tight. Short squat fat leaves. Hope they grow! Looks nothing like the foliage of the og clones.

His yield 2.85 was with the hps. To be fair tho he ran a full room with hps (enviroment dialed in etc), and only one HLG Elite prototype fixture by it self over 4 plants in a huge room. That and it was his first run ever with LED so he was dialing in the grow too. This was his last grow, you can still find on his YouTube channel.

This new side by side will be more accurate, but I wouldnt expect him to have the grow 100% dialed in like he has with HPS considering the years of experience he got with those.

Much respect for documenting and sharing tho ✌

GML has his own style, that's for sure. ;)

He replaces his hps bulbs after EVERY grow. He defoliates completely during flower. He flushes extensively the last 2-3 weeks.

He is also the reseller for QB's in canada. So that kind of explains why he has a room full of the lights.
