Is it a good idea to put a teen clone directly into flower?

I want to buy a couple of teen clones that already surpassed the vegetative stage and put them straight to flower to save me some time. Has anyone tried this method before? I know there's autoflower strains but i heard they don't give too much of a yield so i want to do the opposite and put 2 teen clones straight to flower.

As long as the mother plant the clones were taken from was old enough to be sexually mature (6+ weeks from seed) the clones will begin flowering a week or so after flipping the light cycle. Only thing is if you flip them early you will miss out on what could have potentially been a killer yield. If all you want is a few g per plant then go on wit yer bad self but I'm sure you already know that less veg time = less bud. Personally I think a better idea is to veg for a awhile & get a decent yield but that's up to you.

Search.

Plenty of people use clones from three inches to six inches (~8cm - ~15cm) tall and flower once roots show for Sea of Green (SoG) to keep the plant short and fat.

Yeah i see what you mean. So basically any clone after 6 weeks is ready for flowering?

Not exactly....any mj plant from seed that is more than 6 weeks old should be mature enough to grow flowers although some breeders recommend waiting 60 days before forcing into flowering. Clones are always the same age as the mother plant so you could say any clone taken from a mother plant after 6 weeks should be ready for flowering.
I dunno how you can even estimate yield without knowing what kind of wattage they are under but ok sure an oz per 3 inch plant sounds great

When cannabis flowers it will stretch two to four times its size depending on the genetics. With proper defoliation you'll have a flat canopy of nuggets. This is the basic premise of Sea of Green (SoG).

How do you not know this?

Seed banks list the everage yield in square meters in a Sea of Green (SoG).

How much light do you think would be required for one square meter?

The search button is at the top of the page.

Seed banks want you to buy their seeds. The information listed is called marketing. I have no idea what the OP has for lighting and neither do you. So if you get an Oz from a 3" plant after flowering under 2 cfls then good for you. I don't care what is "required" because I don't grow in a SOG. So estimate away but unless you know what lighting they are under it's hard to say what the actual dry weight will be. The bullshit function is always active in these forums

Here's the link to the box I have

It's a small grow cabinet approximately 3 ft tall 28 inches deep and 18 inches wide the plants are going to be in five gallon smart pots one clone in each one under a 200 watt CFL light I am using big rootz organic soil

Whoa, whoa, whoa. You hold your horses right there.

Bullshit function?

You're telling me a sativa dominant will out weigh an indica dominant?

There is a reason they give you the specs on each strain.

Do you not understand cannabis stretches two to four times it's height during flowering?

More for sativas?

Some sativas can hit twenty feet outside.

Dude, search button is up top.

Use it.

I understand stretching and I know how to control it through gradual light deprivation but that's for the advanced class. I also know that yield indoors is governed by the wattage (output) of your lighting.
I meant it is total bullshit to tell somebody running a 200w cfl they will get an oz off each plant with zero veg time. I have no desire to continue having a weed nerd fight about it either so with that I'm outta this thread. Just wanted to answer the OPs Q hope it helped. Good luck and happy growing!!!

A five gallon bucket is usually fifteen inches tall, you're gonna run out of room fast unless you ScroG. Even then your looking at thirty-six inches.

I'd throw a T5HO in there and use it for vegging mums and cloning.

Light deprivation?

Explain, is that a shorter light cycle or raising the lights?

Advanced class?

You still need to brush up on basics.

Do you even know how many mols of photons are required for one square meter?

Do you even know what mols are?

That's right, tuck tail.

5 gallon smart pots not buckets I'm sorry
Smart Pot Dimensions:

1 Gallon - 7" x 5.5"
2 Gallon - 8" x 7"
3 Gallon - 10" x 8.5"
5 Gallon - 12"x10.5"
