i have a bunch of bagseeds
and about 2 months ago, to save space,

i transplanted 4 seedlings into a 1 gallon about 3 inches apart
they grew like crazy, i transplanted them to a 10 gallon
just a couple of days ago.

my question is, if some turn out male, im going to snip soil level of the main stalk.
seems like i cant dig the roots out and are my plants going to be ok with the dead roots?

thanks in advance.

Not really an ideal way to Do it. But to answer your question the living ones will be just fine save for yield. Expect to see the others jump a bit if you cut one. This is because they quickly get access to more root space. A good thing lol
