Ive got some nice healthy plants growing outside here in northern Maine, if i was to cut shade leaves ect. off the plant, will that help my buds get bigger/more THC?

no, an dont ever mention or consider it again ok.

each leaf does not correspond to a particular part of the plant.
it is a collective effort used by the leaves to photosynthesize light in order to
feed the entire plant. Pluck a leaf suffer the power. there's little harm
in trimming damaged ones, or for horticultural purposes, but to whack them off close to other buds
in order to supply light to those is ridiculous hippy fired notions

I don't remove anything on top unless it doesn't look right or got torn. I Do however remove about 2 feet of the bottom bullshit. I clean the stems up a ways for easier access for watering, and ridding all the spindly branches that just grow BS fluff buds.

What about trimming off small branches that have miniature buds on them? pretty much useless for smoking unless turned into hash or used for cooking?

Always trim your plants... Any time I have skimped on trimming its affected my yield and quality. Anyone who tells you otherwise is probably one of those cooky 2 harvest nuts. "Dude I can harvest all that larf here in a another month its going to be almost 2 ounces!" Thats such a bullshit way of growing. If anyone paid attention to their plants they would notice the plant will defoliate itself to some degree if you dont. Leaves at the bottom will yellow and then dampen off. I dont see how leaving a dampend off leaf is going to help your grow. Maybe Im missing something?

Are you not using things like neem seed meal? Also if you are that concerned you can use a piece of aloe and rub it over anything that you cut and supposedly it will heal faster.
