I didnt get any responses in the indoor section, so i guess I'll try here. any help?

This is my first grow, and am a little confused when i should switch from an 18/6 light cycle to a 12/12.

I attatched pics of the plant. Right now their are only four branches with a full set of 7 leaves and they are still just babies. Let me know. Also The plant seems to be growing kind of slow.

I bought a book that told me how much to water day by day, and It nearly killed the plants, (overwaterd) so now i stick to about a cup every other day sometimes longer. The plants are green and are perky but growth seems kinda long compared to others I have read about. Im not exactly sure how long they have been growing id guess between 4 and 5 weeks.

The plant is roughly 6.5" tall and spans abot 13-14"

Also Im using "gro-lux" lights which are only rated to 20watts. Is this enough or no?

p.s. she stinkkkss:joint: ( I have no idea what strain these are, I just remember finding some seeds in a bag and planted em.)

sorry for the poor quality pictures

Is that a copy of Buds For Less? Nice. The plants will stretch 2-3x when you switch to 12/12, so decide how tall you want them and go from there. They look nice, by the way. Oh, and don't water them until the top inch of soil dries(check with your finger).

So how many total watts are you running? I don't think you stated how many bulbs you had.

Do you plan on saving these as your mothers or are just going to bud them and start all over next time? You can start you plants on 12/12 ANY time you want.

They look nice. But a similiar side question to everyone (and maybe you because you have a book), Is it alright if I went from 24/0 to 12/12? I never used an 18/6, but this is my first grow. The plants seemed to grow alot better as soon as I started on the 12/12.

As already stated , you can put the plant into 12/12 as early as 3 weeks old, keep in mind that the smaller the plant is when you go into 12/12 the smaller your end crop will be. Buy the most light you can afford. I think you might want to give more water than one cup , those are pretty big containers and if you only water with one cup you probably are not getting good watering to the bottom of the pot, remember the roots want to go down. Give a good flushing once a month. Happy gardening...

Thanks for all the help guys.

Im running to 20watt bulbs so i guess 40 total watts. the plants are growing nicely and look healthy but judging by the book im reading "buds for less" it seems to be growing slower.

Im going to switch to the 12/12 and see how it likes it.

Any idea on how long it will take to start budding?
