Is my plant ready to be topped?

Weight of the pot is a good indicator of when you need water, make a habit of lifting it and noting the weight. You will need more water later on, a midsize adult plant can drink half a gallon a day, easy. Hopefully your soil is not too heavy, it looks a bit lacking in perlite, what’s the product?
Its just some vegetable and garden soil I had lying around in my shed, when I started the grow I wasn't going for much and still am not but its a little late to transplant I think, not sure lol. It contains peat moss and peat something else, as well as compost. Couldn't find a ph on it, but did find that its made to retain water so seldom watering will do I'm thinking. It also says its "organic" and good for vegetables, whatever that means.

Will take note of the weight from now on :)

Alrighty, topped her/him this afternoon with some shears that I sterilized by dumping some 99% iso alcohol on. I just checked up on it, and Im wondering if its normal for the wound of where it was just cut to turn a little blackish-brown :/, Im not too worried, just hope it isnt infected...

It's fine. I usually pinch the tip off with my finger. I k kw where those things have been and it's never gotten infected

So I am currently using 2 23w cfl lights, in a small box that I recently covered the interior with tinfoil. The larger plant I topped a few days ago grew taller than I wanted it to due to not enough light earlier on. I am trying not to make this mistake with my second set of plants in there, but currently not sure how to go about dealing with this, are there any LST or HST techniques that can be used right now to lower the overall height of the plant, or will I be needing to make a new grow box for it?

You can start LST now to keep them down, but I still dont think you have enough room in there to flower all 3 of those. Do you have any more popcorn containers for the other 2? Or keep them in party cups?
