Strain is Alien Rift, these two phenos are seeming much closer to harvest than the rest. Looking to be 5% amber give or take, probably less than 5% clear and the rest cloudy. Am I hurting yield much if I chop now? Are these two ready yet in your guys opinions?

Appreciate it.:peace:

Looking at my pictures zoomed in it looks like the first plant has more clear left than I thought. The 2nd looks pretty milky

I would give them a couple days to see if they start getting better ...

They are pretty much there.
Yeah the 2nd one seemed to have stopped fattening up about 4 days ago or so and the first hasn't done much fattening wise for a little over a week probably

One important thing I just remembered! They've been getting nutes every watering and I just gave them the max for bloom boosters their last watering(the recommended amount on the bottle). Didn't really expect to have plants ready at 7 weeks. Is it going to be a real noticeble difference in taste if I don't give them at least a plain watering or two before chop??

Right around 400 ppms for the first pheno and 500 ppms for the 2nd for their last watering, steady around that amount each watering past couple weeks

Yeah ... Seven weeks do seem a bit early .. Are you sure you timed them right they look a bit older ... But go by triches only. I would go a week ...

If it's REALLY 50 days I think you should run a bit longer. ( my 2¢ ) and check triches regularly.

I give plain water during last 14 days or so just as a regular watering ( not flush ) so they begin pulling from the fans and start eating from itself. Some feed all the way thru , but why waste Nutes if she will eat from her own leaf Nutes . And chop her down before lights on so she is not pulling up starches when lights come on.

They look damn good for 50 days ... What is the breeder estimate for flower ?

Yeah it's 50 days flower from the first day of 12/12. I want to say it says on the package 57 to 65 days for these two. I've battled deficiencies the whole flowering period, they've all lost a lot of leaves, dozens each, all lower though, some small some big. So maybe there isn't so much for nutes left in the soil and they've been taking what I've been giving them but needing more? That would then mean that not so much of a flush it needed right? And I use the word "flush" loosely, just a plain watering, slightly heavy maybe

Lower leaves will die off also if they aren't getting much light.

You look like fade setting in , which is normal as it moves into late flower.
Soils do TAP OUT over time , but if she is a happy camper during feeds then keep it that way on your feed structure. You can ALSO do a change downward on the flowering cycle ( from 12/12 to 11/13 then 10/14 - once a week change during late flower ) it shaves off a few days before harvest.

Ikeep us posted on those frosty bitches ... They look fire as hell.

Snap a fan leaf off
Taste the sap
If its bitter or sour id give plain water with mabey some molasses.

I always tried to time it to where when i was cutting they are yellowed up
And the juice from the fan leaf taste more like water :)
Sounds wierd i know i forgot where i got it from lol

Will keep everyone posted and try that leaf taste test tomorrow lol I have many others that are right there with these two, maybe a couple days behind. One is going dark purple and getting caked, bag appeal will be 10/10.
Got the lights on 11.5 hours on right now, tomorrow I'll change them to 11 on.
I've also got a couple plants that look like they need 3 to 4+ more weeks, unfortunately.

So about chopping them before lights on, I'm at work when my lights come on so the only way I could do so is if the night before I stuck the plant inside a box or something and taped it shut, I have to leave them in the grow room because that's where my carbon filter is, and puting the plant in a box probably isn't a good idea. And im afraid it'l stink up my house real bad if I try sticking them inside a closet or something. Plus the other thing I'm wondering about is I have to do my trimming in that room, again where the carbon filter is, so of coarse there's bright light, do I need to shield this light with a blanket or something while I trim? I know light degrades the but is that enough to make a difference? Once it's ready to hang I have a big box that I'm keeping the opening away from the lights and hanging branches in there. Right around 45% rh and 70 degrees. Does this all sound okay? Or is it extremely important that the plant sees very little light, even during trimming?

very nice work. that being said, i'd wait at least another week or two, look at that 4th pic down, there are still a lot of clear trichs in that pic, way too many for my liking. i'm not one of those people who have to wait for a lot of amber, but i do like to at least start seeing a few here and there, and as few clears as possible. i don't see any amber in your pics at all, and way too many clears yet

how are you supposed to trim in the dark? i wouldn't pile them under the light and leave them there, but its not going to hurt them at all to have the room lit up well
i've found that the slower i can dry, the better product i end up with. i put up a small tent and got a humidifier, and a humidistat off of amazon to keep the tent at 65% RH. it takes 5-7 days to dry, and it ends up tasting and smelling awesome. it already smells good when i jar it, and the longer it stays in the jar, the better it gets

Yeah I'm thinking possibly Wednesday if I start seeing more ambers(get off work early that day) otherwise this weekend I'll look again. Zoomed in on my pics I think the first plant pictured needs a week minimum but the 2nd one I think is a little closer, maybe one more week and finished. The 2nd ones calxyes are pretty swollen. I'll keep a close eye on the trichs. Glad I didn't chop them yesterday!

I let my plants go 24 hrs dark and cold when i chop (no proof ) just somthing i do

Never trimmed in the dark though i think id be missin fingers ;)

I chop in the dark with a green light

I dont know if this stuff works as far as facts and studies but its just something i have done and still do lol
