the stems do that sometimes, as for why I have no idea, but its never seeemed to effect any of my grows.
Well thats good to know but has similar looking stuff ever started showing up on your leaves at all. I cant tell if what I am seeing is the same as in the pic or just water spots from getting the leaves wet while watering.

What do you think the white growth is on the stems in the picture? You can see it more clearly on the pic attached to post 18.
Get that plant out of there and into to quarantine, it needs to be excluded. Second step is eradication of the fungi you have newly developing on the stem. You will need to use some sort of fungicide. Dithiocabamates are a very widely used and useful group of fungicides which are effective against a number of plant pathogenic fungi. They include Zineb, Maneb, Ziram, Ferbam and Mezineb, Thiram and Metiram are also extremely effective against a number of important plant disease fungi.

I had mildew on some of my OG kush plants (my Headbands have never been affected, and a fellow HB grower (Hayduke) also said they are very resistant to it) Go to your garden centre and you can get something to help that, I use Silinal by Ecostyle which is totaly environmentally friendly (normally used for spraying on grapes) there are a few products out there, or there are home made recipes -

this was quoted by Hayduke:

Note I treat with 1T baking soda, 1T Dr Bronner's soap, 1T organic hemp seed oil in a gallon of water. I will be upping the baking soda and reducing the other two to experiment (after some veggie gardening reading)
This (with hort oil or light veg oil and dish soap) is known as the "Cornell Formula" developed as an organic fungicide by the Universities Ag dept. The oil and the soap are also effective pesticides.

Good luck.

Hey 'bomb' you're looking at powdery mildew. Check your ventilation mate, how much fresh air you pumping in?? Overall your grow room looks pretty sufficient to me except the danger of water x ballast!. You should invest in a digital thermometer, one that reads high/low temps and also humidity. I'm not quite sure how ya get rid of the mildew though, maybe someone else knows... but definitely get the worst of the plants out of the grow room, will spread like a plague. Cheers

You can not get rid of Powdery Mildew*

*Quote from Jorge Cervantes - Ultimate Grow 2..
Spraying with wettable sulphur at the rate of 15g to 10 litres, or use dinocap and benomyl at 5g to 10 litres, Just don't apply it during hot weather or while you are under the lights. That should do it :D

Here is some pics of what the leaves look like. Sounds like the most popular answer is to use organic spray on fungicide but I wanted you guys to see the leaves before giving me any final advice. Also someone mentioned getting a thermometer and checking the humidity...I have one its just not seen in the earlier picture but the temp ranges between 75-84 degrees when the light is on and slightly cooler overnight and relative humidity ranges between 15-40% depending on time of day and proximity to being watered. Any idea what is wrong with my plants would be appreciated. It doesnt seem to be spreading and maybe this is normal. (after all this is my first grow)

The last couple pice are of what I think is leaf burn from over fertilizing and a possible water spot on a leaf but my biggest concern is the strange white growth on the other leaves. Please help me.
