Hi, this setup is running with 3, 7x6 inch plastic pots. 4 100 watt CFL's. and an upright fan going. 19th day of growth. Any comments or suggestions on if this setup will work.

Hey man, seems like you've got a decent amount of light, but the lights are WAY too far away from the plants. They need to be within 2-3 inches or so (others will tell you as close as 1 inch).

Also, go ahead and fill those pots up almost to the top with soil and bury some of that stem. The plants are stretching towards the lights because they are so far away...

Are those actually 100w cfl's or cfl's that say they put out as much as a 100 watt incandescent? If so, go buy some 40 watters at least.

I retract what I said about you having enough light... should figured those were 23watt bulbs and not really 100's.

You have 31 watts per plant... you should shoot for 100-150 watts per plant. You need more bulbs.

I have almost the same setup as u but Im using a tree lamp with 2 100 watt day lights and 3 125 watt bright light. I got them at home depot and I have two plants at day 43, 12 day of 12/12. There doing great. Keep the lights 1-3 inches from the tops and check dailly cause the plant will hit the lights. Fill the pots with dirt about an inch from the top.

DWR, man. there's no good supplier of nlites internationally... i wish there was!

to the OP, those bulbs are definitely NOT 100w each. They're 100w EQUIVALENT bulbs... meaning they put out as much light as a 100w incandescent. What you need to get are 30 or 40w CFL bulbs that are equivalent to 120 or 160w incandescent each. You need at least 100 CFL watts per plant.

Have a look, they have some great prices 2 to 200 Watt Compact Fluorescent Bulbs : 1000Bulbs.com The Light Bulb Superstore.
