ok, I just got back from homebase after spendin a tenner. I bought a timer. In the shop it looked good. it said it can handle upto 3kw and 300w lights. Also it was a 24hour opertain thingy. Dunno wht that means.

anyways I get home and look in the manuel and then the bloody thing shoots me in da foot! it says "Not suitable for low energy, fluorescent or discharge lamps".

It also says "Switch Rating: 13A resistive (3kW)
4A inductive
300W filament lamps"

Is this gonna be safe to use with a 125w red enviro? I have already been down homebase 3 times. There gonna think Iam a nutter LOL

ahh yes will it also work with a T8 13w flouroscent light? it wont like burn the house down will it?

EDIT: Of course pics!! :D

Hey man, I see you're UK, IKEA do these timers for about £5 a pair, been using 2 my whole grow and had no issues. Always use them in conjunction with a circuit breaker and a smoke detector for safety's sake tho. Peace and fucking

All 3 of my segmented timers worked but then failed after just a few days, Thats why I went Digital.!! Think a few other people have had this problem also with segmented timers.
