Is this mold?

Is this mold on my stem? And if so, how did that happen? I didn't have good drainage in my cups that I have them planted in. I recently fixed that by poking holes in the bottom of the cup. Now it drains good. If it's mold, is there a way to fix that problem so I can still save the plant? Temps range from 70-82 degrees. Humidity is 45-55 degrees.

Thanks

Looks like it but I cannot say for sure. It's not all that bad though. First off even with good drainage you can still give it too much water. Always let is dry up to the point where the plant is almost drooping. Also they will droop when they are over watered. It droops because not enough oxygen gets to the roots. I would just spray a fungicide on it like neem oil. Find a concentrate so you can mix it yourself and get it at a lot better deal. Raise your temps if you can. At this time of year before I install AC I range from 80-90. Heat really helps keep mold away. Low humidity can help but some molds grow fine in low humidity conditions. If it's rooting you want high humidity. Mold spores are in the air everywhere. We are breathing them in right now indoors and outdoors. The best thing you can do it keep it from spawning. I find a hot room works best. GL

Just spray with water to get humidity up. When your plant is wet it's pretty much like being 100% until it dries up. Otherwise if it's rooted that humidity is fine at 45-55. I wouldn't go any higher though when it roots. You may even need a dehumidifier in the summer. I like fertilome triple action. It's good against both bugs and mold. A bottle will last a very long time. It's also organic. I never heard of ultra sonic fogger. If it's a fogger type deal I wouldnt recommend it unless you have a bug problem and that it's safe for consumable plants. You cannot really get rid of mildew thats in the air. If you keep your temps up it will have much trouble reproducing.
