Is this true or is it a ripoff

Hey! I've always been intersted in LEDs but they were always kinda expensive to me.Now I can have a led light for my seedlings/clone micro chamber but I'm not sure if this can be true.

A guy is selling me a 30 watt dual specter led that he bought for 90$ 1 month ago for just 25$.It's 5,1 inch in diameter and 5,1 inch in lenght. I am really sceptical about this so I'm asking you. This is the picture he sent me.

Can this really be a 30 watt light?

Thanks

I wouldn't spend my money on it. I would bet it's closer to 15w, but even at 30w they are the wrong LEDs. Ultimately your really not going to grow anything with it. LEDs are still pretty expensive, but the cheaper ones (that actually work) can be found for about 1$ a watt. Just beware that some companies will charge a lot for a led light just on the principal that people relate high price with quality.

Crap with a capital C. It may be a 30w light but each diode is going to produce roughly .1 w per diode i.e. - it will not have any penetrating power whatsoever. Don't buy it someone is trying to pass the bad buck along to you!
