Island Sweet Skunk Grow

Well I have been reading on this site for a while now. There is some extremely knowledgable individuals on this site.
Set up = 1000 watt MH Agrosun (veg)
1000 watt super HPS Hortilux (flower)
1000 watt lumatek electric Ballast 120/240v
Ecoplus inline fan 340CFM 1.1 amps
Hydrofarm Daystar AC
I am growing 6 Island Sweet Skunk clones that I recieved from a local Dispensery. I would love to attach some pictures since I have been documenting very closely from day 1. May I can get some help there first. Down to brass tax as they say. I have grown out doors in FL for years and now I am in CO growing indoors. I am 15 days in and the plants have grown 6-9 inches. I count that as a win. I thought that it would be cool to document this grow and why not on this site so those that would like to follow along they can. If anyone has anything to say then get it. I welcome all new and old. I know that sound bad. I actually found the picture part. So if anyone has any comments at all please post. New pictures to come after the weekend.

Just a quick little history. I have been running on the HPS bulb due to the ballast being broken and the MH side has a short. I was able to pick up the new ballast today. (it is an upgraded version with an adjustable knob for 50%, 75%, 100% or Super Lumens) I will be changing over to the MH tonight when the light cycle had turned off. I am running a 18/6. I have mixed Fox Farms Happy From and Pearlite 80/20. watering about every 4-5 days and they seem to be responding pretty well. The growth was very slow in the beginning (transporting) but then they really took off.

OK it looks like some of you are taking a look. If you guys are anything like me you want more pictures. My fiance is out of town with the camera but will be back tomorrow PM. I will try to get some up then. The plants are looking very full since the switch to MH. My caregiver says that I should only wait until they are 18" to flower. No bigger. I want to wait until they are atleast 2' but he is the master. My ceilings are jusy over 7 feet and with the large reflector I can see why I should start to flower at 18". Any other thoughts from the masters here?

DAY 20 Veg
I figure I am all alone out here but I am going to continue to post weekly until I see some friends pop up. The plants are looking very good. They are ranging between 13"-17" now and getting very bushy. I am getting very close to flowering phase. I measured to day and the bottom of my reflector is exactly 7'. Any advice on when I should to flower? I have added some more pictures because everyone loves pictures. The pictures are from a few days ago but I will take more when the ladies wake up. The lady in the front middle, I started to manipulate the stems so it didn't get to high. I figure that part of the fun is to try new things and see what happens for yourself.
bongsmilie I like this guy he is cool.
If anyone has any thoughts I am new and could use all of the advice I can get.

Well day 4 is here are the girls look so good. I finally got the ballast problem solved today after oh about 4 weeks. Now that everything is straight I can only focus on the girls. They range from 17"-21" now and are looking more and more full daily. I have attached some more pics so everyone can see the progress. I am guessing that when the girls start to bloom then some of you out there will start to speak up. Maybe I have to unlock something for this to happen. Oh well I am using the 1000watt HPS right now for a space of 5'x4'. I can expand the space to HUGE if I need to. All 6 going strong in only Fox Farm Happy Frog Soil and perlight. No nutes necessary (yet).

Well here we are and it is already day 12 of flowering. I think that I might have made a mistake by going to Radio Shack and getting the Hand held microscope. 60x-100x this thing is way to cool. I made the mistake of looking at some leaves and saw a small dead bug. I immediately took a picture and went down to the dispensary to see my caregiver to find out what the hell was happening to my sweet little girls. He assured me that it was a baby spider (not a mite) and that he died very young. All I know after spending 3 hours trying to find any other signs of bugs. I felt like I was back in high school again and that has been almost 20 years now. Well here are some pictures of all the beautiful bud sites starting to show. again I invite any all who would like to give advice or comment on the grow so far. It looks like this harvest will be some mighty fine Chistmas cured buds at this rate. :mrgreen:bongsmilie:eyesmoke:

Thank you very much for checking in. I started from clones from a local dispensary. The third picture at the beginning of this post was taken just after planting the clones. Sorry it has taken a while to get back. The girls are looking so good right now. I will add some more pics at the end. I have been doing so much reading about trimming and manipulating the branches so light can get in tight. I do have a 1000watter so is it still necessary to lollipop. I have done very little experimenting on this first round just to get a feal for the atmosphere adjustments. Once I get the room dialed with the temp year round and the humidity levels then I will feal better about really having some fun. I think I might have a little bit of mold on about 4-8 leaves. Do I trim them or spray them with something maybe I can attach a picture. :mrgreen:bongsmilie:eyesmoke:

Lookin good cuhz. I live in FL and I think CO is the only place besides Cali that I could move to and be happy. I went to winterpark, CO a couple years back and had a great time snowboarding. :eyesmoke:Subscribed & +repbongsmilie

Thanks for the kind words. I was in FL for 20 years. The girls are looking great but I am not getting much vertical growth on the plants. Manybe 1/4" - 1" a day or two. I spend probably 1-2 hours a day with the girls (only lights on) and that is not counting the days that I water (another 40 min.). The flowers are comingg along nicely but I think like I said before that I think I have a little bit of mold.

I HAVE MITES!!!! I was doing so good in making sure that the room was so cleaned before I moved the girls in. I guess when you have 2 cats and Dog I just should have had the carpet cleaners out first and then started from a very clean place. I have seen the mites but I can't see more than 2mites per leave and I have only seen them on about 6 leaves. I trimmed them quickly. I have read so many different things on how to treat or get rid of. I have a grow consultation today with my caregiver and he always has all the answers so I will keep everyone posted on the advice that i get.

The girls are looking really good. I went and got some predator mites and like I said they look fantastic. I watered today for the first time using some nutes. We will have to wait until tomorrow  I had to trim some leaves today that were half drained of all their nutrients hence the reason for me starting to use some flower power. That is not the name it just sounded cool.Well I wont keep you in the dark any longer so here is some recent pics.
:mrgreen:bongsmilie:eyesmoke: Sorry that some of the pics came out a little blury.

Dr. I tryed to reply to you earlier and I think that I had some problems. If you did recieve the message then I did figure it out. CO is pretty big and I am not sure what region of state you are in. Let me know and I will be in touch.
The girls are looking better than ever and all of the leaves look good with no burn markings. I will look daily and post again in the next few days.

Well only about 35-40 days left. The mites seem to be under control and the girls are starting to get big. Actually more than big they are starting to connect. I hope the size does come eventually. Well here are some recent pics taken within the last couple of days. Please if anyone has anything to say, do so. :eyesmoke::mrgreen:

So it is day 32 into flowering and the girls are looking really good. I probably have about 5 weeks or so left. I have attached some photos. The mites are down to a minimum with the predators. I just put in another 2000 today since it had been 13 days from the last drop. I am getting real excited to see the white start to take over. Getting closer and closer and to the magical day. If anyone has any comment please chime in. Again please try to stick to grow topics only. I am really looking forward to getting to the end because it seems like that is the only time that the wise ones start to get talkative.

Thank you. Fox Farms Happy Frog and perlite 75/25 mix and yes a lot of holes around the outside bottom edge and holes on the bottom as well.

Well I had no choice but to cut down #5 & #6 due to spider mites. They were just out of control. The predators just couldn't keep up. I only have about 3 more weeks for the other 4 and they have no spots and I have been wiping the leaves daily to make sure that they don't F with the last 4 ladies. Out of the 2 girls that got chopped I got 408 grams wet. The buds are drying now and look really good. I only wish that they had 3-4 more weeks to develope even more. There are mostly cloudy trichs with a few amber and still a few clear. I can't wait for the next batch to be ready. Here are some pics for your enjoyment. Thanks for following along and I will send total dry weight soon with the other harvest in a few weeks. If anyone has anything to say please do. I will keeping on eye out for comments bi-daily.:eyesmoke::bigjoint:
