They came cause of a fire in the backyard too late at night. Claimed to smell weed said theyd wait for a warrant. Since im legal I let them take a look around. No worries cause im med. I guess its more for my piece of mind than anything else. I agree you can grow and not get caught, i did for years, but if you do theres a way bigger headache than if you have a card to shove in their face

Btw thats awesome for your buddy. Glad no problems arose from his needing the help from police. Usually doesnt work that way.

personally I think that if you live up here and don't own firearms there is something wrong with you. because of Alaska's brady laws wordings, it is legal to walk/drive/snowmachine to Russia pick up a few rifles and bring them home (legal for Alaska natives). There is also no "log/registry" of weapons in Alaska, and gun shows where private individuals buy sell and trade firearms are frequent. I make it a point to not smell like Ganj when I go to buy a gun, just because I smoke doesn't mean I want everyone in my business, besides there are WAY more alcohol related gun injuries in AK, pot should be the least of their (F.F.Ls. in AK) concerns, the question should say:

"are you addicted to alcohol, or do you drink alcohol more than 3 times in a week"
not
"are you addicted to or an unlawful user of marijuana"

Why legalize? Alaska won't have edibles or extracts and unless you relinquish your gun rights ( state issued med card......cuz you need daddy to hold your hand n smoke) your only growing 6 plants and two budding at a time, you won't be burning outside like Seattle, 60 to 75 an 8th for top shelf, but get your med card 40 to 50 bucks and get this your pot can't be over 15 % thc . But if you leave well enough alone Raven act= up to 24 plants and 4oz in your home? Really? Why would Alaska fuck that up? u.N agenda 21 small arms confiscation ! Wake up vote FuckNO in August! Look at Connecticut gun grab media blackout wake up or we are all :hump::hump::cry:
This sounds like something a young, dumb, punk, slinging baggies for a living would say.

Seeing how you probably are not from Alaska I'll tell you how it is. It's not possible to walk/drive/snowmachine from Alaska to Russia. The closest place between Alaska and Russia is Little and Big Diomide Islands, it's 2 miles across and even in winter the strong currents between the islands keep it open with floating pan ice. Helicopter is the only way to cross and that never happens. Their are NO natives on Russian Diomide, only Russian Military guards. The only other spot is St Lawrence Island- 40 miles from Russia. The sea also doesn't freeze over there so no way to walk/drive/snowmachine to Russia from there either. It's possible for St Lawrence Island Yupics to visit their relatives by boat across the 40 miles except they have NOT been allowed to do that by the Russians since the 1930s. The Russians confiscated all rifles from their Russian Yupics in the 1940s. There has only been one trip by St Lawrence Island Yupics by boat to visit their relatives in Russia. It took many years of legal hurdles and happened about 5 years ago. The St Lawrence Islanders loaded their boat with all kinds of goods to give to their VERY poor relatives on the Russians side. If any weapons changed hands it was Americans illegally giving them free to their poor Russian relatives. Anyway no natives ever walk/drive/snowmachine to Russia to pick up a few rifles and bring them home.

I was merely repeating what I was told by a close family friend who is a RETIRED VPSO on st. Lawrence. He said the last that he was able to go (in the early 90's) he brought back a dozen fully automatic Kalashnikovs, each of which he got for about $75 and were locally stationed in the trooper outpost in Nome. And by the way, while we were there (Nome in mid December 2009) we went half way across the "Bering Land Bridge", which is national/state park and, mostly unstable ice flow at best, good seal grounds if you're a local hunter. Personally I have never been all the way across, the furthest out I have been is about a half a sno-go tank past Lopp Lagoon , and that's not Russia. I don't mean to propagate misinformation, only to spread my experience.

I'm sorry if I have offended you, but trust that I'm as Alaskan local as Jackie Purcell, Homeless Bill, and locked up imitation vanilla extract!

No problem. Not that I believe some VSPO illegally bought a dozen automatic AK47s in a foreign country, smuggled them to the US and then ran his mouth about it and never got investigated and busted. I've been to that Island a few times buying Ivory and artifacts and I know every one talks about everybody, everybody is a rat and everyone knows who just farted and they get busted for everything because they all talk so much about everybody and what they are up to.
