Jack's Classic growers

Everything is a chemical, even water, in fact, water is responsible for more deaths than lead, arsenic, and mercury combined! Once, some guy killed himself by drinking too much water to win a Wii.

The reality is that the bacteria in the soil create the same nitrates that come in the bottles.

Plants will always eat the same chemicals (nitrates) regardless of how they're provided (bacteria or human).

There is no magical "chemical". Everything your plant eats is on the periodic table.

Jack's classic isn't exactly intended to work with hydroponic setups. I'm sure it's possible as many people have done it, but it's not ideal.

Jack's hydroponics line, however, is different in that it provides a soluble form of calcium (calcium nitrate) and a low urea and ammonium content.

Soil based nutrients tend to get a bulk of its N from urea instead of calcium nitrate, and thus expecting the soil to provide calcium through limestone (insoluble). Hydro based nutrients get the bulk of their N and all their Ca from calcium nitrate.

Jack's professional hydroponics is a 2 part dry mix, where 1 of the parts is actually greenhouse grade calcium nitrate.

Would Jacks work well with perlite/vermicuite 3:1 in hempy buckets? Which product to use with plain tap water? The 20-20-20 or 10-30-20, the hydro?.

I'm using jacks 20 20 20 on a plant in soil outdoors right now. Its working better than the citrus so far. With the citrus I keep getting a lot old growth turning yellow. I thought the citrus was the superior product of the 2 but it keeps causing me problems

How far along are your plants and how much are you using?

They are week 2 of flower. I've tried 1/4 teasoon per gallon of 200ppm tap water for a few weeks, had yellowing and necrosis issues, then bumped up to 1/2 teasoon per gallon....and the damage increased. 5 gallon organic soil pot.

figured i would start a thread on what i use for nutes. i seen all the other nutes sold at hydro shops posted and figured i cant be the only 1 on here using it. i use just the 20-20-20 for my veg plants and the 10-30-20 for my flowering plants(nothing else). i grow in coco coir mixed with some perlite. using these 2 tubes(1.5lbs each)of nutes last me a while and cost me about $32 with shipping. feel free to post what jack's classic you use and if you use anything else from them or with them here. bongsmilie:bigjoint::weed:

I just discovered Jack's and curious as to if you add the stated dosage per gallon or do you add it till you hit your target ppm?
