Jar size

When curing your buds and burping the jars, do any of you find that the amount of bud to air ratio is important?

Say I have a half gallon jar that the bud fills half way so there is much more air than a couple quart size jars filled 3/4 or more.

Is the air ratio important for curing and burping? I would think getting less air to bud ratio would be what to shoot for

I try to leave 1/3 on top air space. I always end up with one jar that's half full though. Sometimes I dump them all out mix them up and put back in so all the buds are getting the treatment.

Yeah seem to always have an odd jar or two when growing multiple strains to keep em seperate, thinking of grabbing a couple different sizes then, I would like to know also if for long term storage it matters more, being more air in the jar

For long term storage I fill the jars to the top. You end up with less jars taking up space too.

I fill them about 2/3 to 3/4 and leave some air in there while curing, allows you to bump the buds around. Once cured you can move them around and fill the jars.
