Hey everyone,

New to the forum and VERY new to growing. I’ve been lurking for a while and you guys have definitely got the most informative forum out there, so congrats on that…

I ordered some seeds online and germinated them, they are a mostly sativa plant and supposedly feminized. Planted them in plastic cups using Miracle-Gro potting soil for my media on 9-22. Here they are on 9-26:

10-1 (nickel for size reference)

10-4:

10-7

10-9

For lighting I started out using a 36” Coralife T-5 double linear strip fixture with a 6700k plant lamp and a full spectrum florescent (black hood in pic), both running at 21 watts. About 4 days ago I added a 48” Dual florescent fixture housing (2) 40 watt 6700k’s. I hung that over the plants and used the Coralife to light from the side. If anyone has some recommendations regarding modifying my lighting please let me know, I watched Dr. Green’s video and with a budget in mind I decided to try out his “florescent lighting method’ for vegetation.

Like I said, I started with and am still using Micacle-Gro potting mix, when should I add nutrients or fertilizer, or should I at all? I know there are countless threads on this topic, but my question is more along the lines of if I should add them at all considering the Miracle-Gro mix is already fortified with a fair amount of nutrients and fertilizers.

ANY advice at all would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

I would snip out the growing tip when you have 2 or 3 nodes (sidebranches) that can take over. You won't need nutes for at least a month... maybe more since it's MG.
