Ok so i just got my doctors recommendation for medical marijuana :), i know im not legal yet but i had some questions about the next step. Should i start looking to sign on a CG now or would it just be less hassle to fill out my app to the state without a CG and look for one later when i have legal paperwork or my card? Since i understand im not legal untill i send in the state app and wait till 21 days after they cash my payment, it confuses me when to start thinking about the CG process.. To me it would make more sense to sign a cg before i send in the state app since they have some stuff to fill out also, rather than not signing a cg and filling out my app then having to fill out a change form (or whatever its called) when i got a CG ready. I just hate the paperwork and wanna get this figured out and was hoping for some insight from someone whos already gone thru with the process.
thanks ahead of time

if your gonna use a cg get it setup before hand it costs you money to add/change a gc later

I would get your cg lined up first - right now it's taking the state over 4 months to process the applications. Might as well make sure they get everything right the first time (and it will save you the $10 fee for submitting the change form). As a sidenote - if you're in SE MI, private message if you're still looking. I have over 20 strains available from the best coffee shops in Amsterdam. I'm a patient myself, an experienced grower and a normal professional adult. I charge half of what the dispensaries charge and give free samples of all strains that I harvest. Happy to answer any questions.

Best of luck!

Where I live you just go to doc and come out with the recommendation letter. Is there a different way in other states or areas?

In colorado you walk out of the clinic legal
Not quite legal until you've obtained the receipt from the certified letter and your 90 dollar fee. And also if you sign someone as your caregiver you can "collectively" grow your number of plants, which means your CG is probably gonna grow the entire amount of YOUR allowed plants , you can grow zero in this case. I do not and will not assign a CG.

I don't know that this post is in compliance with this forums policy. Take that shit to craigslist.
@dbkick - he tried to PM me through the website and I tried to PM him through the website. The site wouldn't allow either of us to because we are new users. I'm not sure what I did that is not in compliance? Surely you wouldn't expect someone to have a private conversation on this thread.... Please enlighten me to anything I did that violates policy so I don't repeat the mistake.

Many thanks!

I'm not sure that you did a thing wrong since I haven't read the policy. carry on but let the people you are trying to sign know the laws after they sign you as CG. Here if you sign a CG chances are you just signed away your right to grow.

High welcome to legal marijuana send that documentation in asap they are just issuing cards received in August so there is quite a delay you can always get a cg later with the add/change form for 10 bucks...better yet learn from this site and grow your own for pretty reasonable price and its a great hobby..overgrow the world..peace and goodluck..be very careful when selecting a cg try your local compassion club
