"Just let it grow"

I've got a few seedlings running at the moment, I've checked out other posts on here. One guy had seedlings that looked identical in size to the ones I've been running now, however he has been supposedly growing his for 3 weeks. I've only been growing mine for almost a week. Also the growth has stopped since Saturday after I swapped over to 75w CFL's instead of a 400w MH.

People advised him to use nutrients, lots of people said "Just let it grow it's developing a root system".

What should I do? They've only just started growing their 2nd set of leaves.

That lighting change likely caused it. I ALWAYS get a 3-5 day stall when going from CFL/T5s to HID. I would assume it works in reverse too. Give them a couple days to adjust and keep them warm. That CFL runs much cooler then your 400.

Yeah the temp has gone down alot, was 21c+ with the MH, now it's only 18c..

Anything I can do to boost temp? I don't have a heat mat

16c...thats like 64 degrees F right? Pretty cold for seedlings. Can you borrow/buy a small space heater? I like this type just simply due to the safety factor.

Why'd you change the light if it was going ok? They say don't try fix something that ain't broken lol.

Nutes wise as said they should be ok for now but it depends on what you're growing in. If they needed nutes there would be defs.

Just see how they go over the next few days.

I know man! I'm using CFL's and MH now. I'm getting worried about the temps etc they dropped a few degrees. I turned the MH back on

Should I take the CFL's out? Could just keep them running, direct light and such

temps can directly influence fem male ratios. i consistently pull +90% fems on varied stock.
but
imo you should just focus on a healthy plant then next couple harvests get more in depth.

sometimes nutes are necessary, its best not to exactly follow others, maybe his medium was completely inert. maybe they were hungry and showing def in something. usually mag on seedlings under hid. also after a few weeks as his were most usually need to apply fert
anywhere from low 80's to low 70's in degrees Fahrenheit is fine, i dont know c that well and dont feel like converting lol.
cfls are great and the type of light great for veg and flower, but do need to be within a couple inches of plant matter. i would personally keep the mh and blast em, cfl if yiu want, i doubt you have enough olants to need the extra. maybe keep em around for side lighting later

You are growing in coco so you will need mild Nutes mate, very mild. Heat loss will slow growth in seedlings as well as low humidity. Keep them up and you go great.
