OK, I know I said I would keep my pessimism about it to myself but here's a CNN article, for what it's worth. They're clearly pessimistic about it. As my old platoon sergeant used to say, "sorry I went back on my wood".

Watergate took two years. I can wait. Mid term elections beginning next year will be right about when the investigations come to full boil. Gonna stew us up one fat red pig. Impeachment would be nice, but not necessary.

... The tactic of seeking bipartisanship wasn't new to them. That's one thing Hillary would have had going for her, she'd have been able to work with the GOP, hell she's not so different from them in many ways.
Both trump and Hillary are worthless shit bags! Fuck our corporate government. It sickens me
Hey wait a fucking minute...

How come one gets a bunch of likes from the mainstream Democrat contingent here and the other doesn't?

Similar ideas are expressed differently, granted- but the point is the same.

When the Democratic Party gets back to representing the workers, as opposed to corporate management professionals and other members of the educated wonksia, they'll win by such margins that they'll wonder what took them so fucking long.

Until then- and as long as they keep taking money and marching orders from corporate donors and SuperPACs- they'll struggle to connect with their traditional base and therefore struggle to win elections. Maybe that's fine with them;

Bernie Sanders has it exactly right about the Democrats; “You’re asking a good question, and I can’t give you a definitive answer. Certainly there are some people in the Democratic Party who want to maintain the status quo. They would rather go down with the Titanic so long as they have first-class seats.”

Its naive to say that Trump and Clinton are alike. They are not.
In any case, Trump is the president. Totally agree he's a bag of orange stinky poo. Why are you defending him?
Where the fuck do you get 'defending Trump' from this statement?

You're going off the rails here.

People don't need to be perfect Democratic sycophants to be political allies.

Why the (possibly unconscious) purity test?

Can we not read here?
Didn't say they were alike. Said they were both shit bags which is true. I'm not defending anyone. I'd love to see our big government implode

With no other words, just, "shitbag", both of them are. You called them the same thing. That actually elevates the status of Trump. If you didn't mean to say they are the same, then now is time to explain yourself.

Seemed to be making totally different points to me.

One made perfectly good sense (like), the other seemed naive and upset (like deficient).

I like what I like, what can I say?

Oh, I'm off the rails alright. Thanks.

Equivocating the two. He's saying they are the same. They are not. Fuck off.
He said no such thing.

Fuck your fuck off.

At least respond to what he ACTUALLY SAID, Mr Jump to Conclusions.

Thanks for the honest response.

Agreed that @_eNVy_ did not articulate his point well.

Yet I chose to look at the similarities rather than differences.

It is this seeking of common ground that will recreate the Democratic opposition in a form that represents a larger swath of the American People and can strongly compete against the unapologetic corporatism embraced by the Right.

If he meant something else, he could have explained himself better. Remember when you defended a poster and regretted it later? I think it's you that are misunderstanding him. And fuck your fuck off of my fuck off.
