PPM goes up, Ph goes down=plants require less nutes.
PPM goes down, Ph goes up=Plants require more nutes
PPM stable, Ph goes up=Equilibrium=Good thing.
It's been my experience that the fewer nutes in my res, the higher my Ph will be.
I run drain to waste so plants never affect my solution. However, I could see how the plants could lower your EC by consuming nutrients and fluctuating the ph.

I got super stoned and tunnel visioned myself into thinking you had this mysterious ppm drift, lol. :bigjoint:

My pH went from5.9 to 6.3 My ppm went down from 855 to 797. I readjusted my pH back down, to 5.8 It has now stayed at 5.8 and a ppm of 755 for 18 hours. This all happened with in 48 hrs of solution change.
Sounds like your baby just got hungry and ate some of her nutes....nutrient salts lower PH, so when the plant consumes the nutes PH goes up, and ppm's go down....although this is highly generalizing PH and PPM relations, this is one of the ways to look at why your PH went up and ppm's went down...Oh, just saw your above post lol, yup you got it.

If the PPM's within the plant's root tissue is higher than that of the water; you will see a rise in PPM's, and a drop in PH because nutes are literally being leached from your plant's roots to the surrounding water...the surrounding water's PPM's must be higher than that of the water in the root mass.

So when I mixed my new batch of "Top Off" I dosed in 10ml/ Moorbloom to see how she takes to it. If there's no tip burn, i'll run it in the next bucket change. That 10ml in a 5 gal Mix of Cal/Mag and Silica Blast. pH'd to 5.8

Yeah sounds good man I think she could use a little extra to munch on especially till her next rez change! :) Hopefully this small boost of nutes gives you that extra boost you're looking for. :)
