Are you one of those people who can remember sinking a roll of quarters into an arcade on an afternoon in a decade not too long ago?
Well, you can now relive those ridiculous, button-mashing days with a beat-em-up Karate game that feels like the 1990s but plays like the new millennium.
I just happened across it while browsing for something cheap, and found myself absorbed trying to get my guy to advance through competition, while delivering crushing blows (including "brain shocks" and broken bones). But then my money runs out and I need to go back to work, lifting boxes and drums onto the back of a flatbed, just so I can get back into the arenas and clubs to beat some Ralph Macchio-wannabe senseless, relishing in the glory of victory in competition.
I recommend setting the violence level to "extreme", because that's what you would've done back then...who are you kidding?
There are a lot of ideas lifted from old games and mashed into this one, with some interesting tweaks.
It is so basic, even you could understand how to play it.
Warning: it will likely destroy a keyboard down the road. Might be worth using a joystick for.
