keeping cats out of the garden

I had a problem with deer eating small fruit trees for a while. What I found was a product called a scarecrow. It's a rat-tat-tat style sprinkler with a motion detector.

If anything trips the beam, the sprinkler would come on for 10 seconds and stop. It will startle the hell out of a deer, or dog, or cat, or neighbor. ;)

Worked very well.

people don't realize that cats a one of the most devastating animals to our ecosystem, they wipe out many native species and spread disease. Disgusting creatures. People who have cats that arnt exclusively indoor cats need a reality check. There should be a reward for ridding this pest.

Humans are the most devastating to ecosystems. Disgusting creatures.

Yup, cats, large and small, exist in ecosystems all over the world. It's people that have fucked things up.
People literally have to modify the ecosystems they live in to sustain themselves. We are the ones who introduce animals to ecosystems where they have no natural checks and balances.

If you want to side with the psychos that think it's funny to use violence against an animal, find a better reason friend.

Domestic cats are fucking horrible creatures. They kill anything they can catch. I had an injured pigeon on my balcony that I was trying to keep safe and there were 3 cats all waiting for me to go so they could kill it. Nasty cunts they are.

That's the thing. They do not care. They don't apologize, whimper, or cower. It's a cat. Indifferent.

Vermin, basically. There are way too many of them where I live and there is no control over them. They kill lots of birds just for the hell of it. They need to be culled.

And they think the same about you. Try hugging a bobcat. House cat is just smaller so they have to put up with humans.

There is no logical comparison between a wild Bobcat and a domestic cat. For example where I live I see 5-6 cats in an area the size of a quarter of a football pitch. Bobcats have their own territory and hunt when hungry. Domestic cats kill just for fun.

They play with it for fun. After its dead they return back to not caring. A feline is a feline. Den dwelling with a hunting range. House cats have about 12 behaviors total. It's not a complex animal. It's a predator. It's job in nature is to kill things.

Don't fault it for what it is.
