Keystone's Perpetual sog

What's happening fellow growers in RIU land. I'm keystone, and this is going to be my journal logging my perpetual sog and future pollen chuck shenanigans .

Anyone and everyone is welcome to comment, let just keep things civil and all will go well.

To start off I'll say that I'm still setting up my area, waiting on a few things to be ordered and delivered.

My grow is being done in a "knee wall" space upstairs. My first challenge was figuring out how to use a spaces with a dramatically slipped ceiling. Hence why this is going to be done sog style.

My veg area is 2'x2.5'. I'm vegging under my old blurple mars 300. My plants are 5 days above the dirt, I've got 4 hso blue dream X rare dankness flo og, 3 breeders boutique fireballs X pck, 2 female seeds wwxbb for shits and gigs , and one fem strawberry blue I got as a freebie some time ago. I've also got 5 wifi og x pck that just germinated and put in dirt today.

I'm going to flower under a 250w hps for the first four weeks, then finish ul under a 400w hps.

Well that's about it for now, pics and updates to come, so pull up a chair, say hello, and smoke a fatty.

Cheers
Keystone

Forgot to add, everthing is in promix with added perlite. Nutes are: first two weeks of veg, light superthrive. Then I run the BPN 3 part elite series, only supplement I use is molasses the last two weeks of flower. Simple and effective.

Just quick update.

One of my WiFi og x pck never broke ground. Everything is going well.

Still haven't finish setting up my flower area. I plan on buying a new cloner in the near future, don't think I'm going to use rapid rooter and the dome anymore.

Thinking ahead a bit, but in the near future I plan on getting some @bigworm6969 genetics in my line up. I was eyeballing the Calypso on dcse earlier.

Another plan for the not quite as near future, I want to build a cob to flower under that will cover my whole area instead of running both a 250w and 400w hps. I've got alot of research, and house renovations I need to do first.

Looking forward to see your SOG. I always wanted to try that but can't due to my plant number restrictions to stay legal.

Be careful feeding in the first two weeks with that superthrive. Most plants don't need much if anything at that stage. However I also feed young plants but primarily for root stimulation. I'll feed something with kelp, humic/fulvic acids and B vitamins. But at very low concentrations like 50-100ppm.

Good luck on your grow, I'll be following your progress.

Glad to have you along for the ride, I've got a good feeling tha once I get completely set up and have the flower room started things are really going to roll smoothly .

Yeah, I never used to feed this early but my superthrive usage is low. 1 drop per gallon. I do this only because my promix is virtually nute free.

I've found in past grows that this helps speed things up slightly at the seedling stage, and is just my personal preference.

Doing work to the room today, pics and an update to follow.

Cheers

Alrighty, so today I got the veg area separated from the flower area, made sure of no light leaks and whatnot.

Everything is looking good, 20171104_141709.jpg 20171104_120522.jpg everything is staying in solo cups until cloned and sexed.

One WiFi og x pck is a three leaf mutant, one of the things I love about seed runs is that you find little surprises here and there .

Things are going smooth, got busy and didn't check on em for a few days, they needed for, gave first round of 1/2 strength nutes and they perked up from yesterday into today.

Also thanks to @HighLowGrow I've got my first auto going, it germed yesterday and I put it in a solo cup to break ground.

That's about it for now, new fan and filter coming this week for the flower room and I'm building a cloner tonight.

Things will pick up once these are big enough to start cloning them. 20171112_192933.jpg

Hey good luck on your SOG efforts. I'm doing the same with 3 strains. After a few months of failed attempts my bubble cloner is doing 95% success rate. Ill be watching and taking notes. Good Luck!

Good to have you both along @ChiefKimbo and @natureboygrower.

The diy bubble cloner is awesome, I made one a few years ago, and somehow misplaced it while moving. So i made a new one.

This is my first sog, I've grown for years, but it was always micro or closet grows. Things should really start kicking off, I will be flowering from rooted clones. Once every thing is sexed and dialed in I should be able to kind of do an autopilot type deal.

really interested in the fireballs & I really like how you're adapting and overcoming your height restrictions I used a switchable 250-400 ballast for awhile & vegging under the 250 & switching to 400 for the flower worked out pretty good if it's cool I'll pull up a chair

what have you done to increase yiur success rate if you dont mind me asking?
best of luck and success @Keystone-grower™ subbed
3 things i did to increase rate of success:

Water temps between 70-80f. I know thats a big range but these are roughly my water temps in 24 hours.

Tapwater+1ml 35%H202. Helps control slime until water change. Change water once a week.

More bubbles. I run 2 12" bubble wands in a rubbermaid container. Those changes have dramatically increased rates and help control dampening.

Things are still chugging along well. I got my fan the other day, just haven had time to hang it, the wife wanted the upstairs bathroom done so the fan will get mouned Saturday.

So here are the plants, growing nicely, and here is the bathroom, new floors, paint, vanity, and a little backsplash for the tub. Also excuse the mess, I am literally just finishing up.20171116_172453.jpg 20171116_222724.jpg 20171116_222734.jpg 20171116_222801.jpg

Also note that this is the first time I've ever done tile, wasn't so bad but next time I don't think I'll use the little tile sheats because they are damn impossible to make all the tiles straight.

Well folks I was finally able to get my flower room set up. Fan and filter are mounted, light tested as I haven't fired the bulb since moving. Testing temps with fans and light on.

One downside, I'll only be flowering under a 250w hps, my old 400w has taken it's death. That being said I'm going to start saving for a timber light, it's going to take awhile, I have priorities, if you've seen my thread in toke and talk you'll know what I mean.

As things looked to me today, plants should be where I want them to be able to take clones in the next two weeks. Then after clones root, donors will be put into flower to determine sex, and select phenos.

That's about it for now

Cheers
