Kief question ?

I've tumbled some kief up and notice it is a blonde color and not really green at all. Is that good or bad? I know little about making kief so appreciate anyone's take on this process. No the trim was NOT frozen...no room in my freezer is why.
Anyone here ever make Moon Rocks?

Get some silk screens and squish it at low temp. Rosin butter.

oh ..ok...most of the kief I've seen seems to be green....I felt blonde may be better as no plant material but wasn't sure. I have a tumbler with screens...20 min spin.

Mine is green. I've seen people make hash out of it. Heat and press it.

Did you buy or diy the tumbler? I'm thinking of tumbling trim rather than ice-water extraction.

water shmea loses its taste by comparison all water shmea tastes the same or similar...the water washes terps away...
kief at least retains the taste of the herb..

thats why bubblee man screens his herb ..and then rosins it,,,,

Yes I understand this - I'm running trim and then further processing it into edible oil. Most of the terpenes will be long gone by the time I'm done regardless.

I'm looking for an efficient, passive, low input way of processing.

Terpenes are mostly not water soluble. The canabiniods and terpenes are mostly located in the capitate-stalked trichome head. Water will only "wash away" flavor, smell, if the trichome head is ruptured. This happens when you use a blender or drill to make bubble. Use a wooden spoon and be gentle. Bubble man separates the Bulbous, capitate-sessile, and capitate-stalked trichomes to harvest the stalked trichome heads only. Where the majority of cannibinoids and terpenes are. Water on its own will not wash away cannibinoids or terpenes.

I have been hearing great things about GreenBroz Alchemist 215 tumbler. Still need to process if you just want just the stalked trichome head.

$3500 US! To rich for my blood! I suppose if this were a business expense I'd look at it as a capital investment but I'm processing small amounts for my wife.

From the last few days of your crop to your harvest is the time to preserve terpenes. Heat is the biggest enemy of terpenes. A hot grow room will evaporate your terpenes off. Drying/curing in a warm area will evaporate terpenes off. Keep your grow rooms cool, dry for a long time at low temp and low RH. Freeze or refrigerate your trim immediatly after harvest to preserve terpenes. Be gentle so not to rupture trichome. Always freeze product before seperating.

Pollen master make one too $600. Best if used if you place the unit in a deep freezer while you sepperate trichome.

Blonde is good. Just think what color your trichomes are. Amber right? Your Kief should reflect the color of your trichome under a loop. Green Kief is plant matter. Moon rocks are simple but can be messy. Roll your buds in oil, then roll in kief, easy peasy.

Cool. I just watched a video about this. The guy used shatter instead of oil. I have GSC in flower now and I really want to try this. I would like to see my wife smoke one of those and then say MEH!, it is OK, LOL.

LOL Rosin has no taste, Rosin is the worst, water bubble has the most taste. Even frenchy cannoli says bubble from fresh is the best,Then cure it for a few weeks.....

Super citrus taste...almost like bubble gum? I don't know, but it's goddamn delicious haha. Even the flower Rosin I press my self has great tastes....low temp is the key I find with Rosin.

Rosin tastes great ...most of it anyway

I had some extremely flavourful stuff the other day....
