hmm, now to figure out what is best configuration for a flowering 4x4 space while maintaining the high photon to heat efficiency possible?

Suggestions? Cutter Kit #?

Aim for around 600W of COBs for that space. How many of what chips driven how hard is your own personal choice really... different people will tell u different things about what is best.

you going to side light with cobs too or just power them in from uptop ?
Great ? Kona sure, normally I have a sea of green setup understanding my prior led lights did not have great penetration through the canopy.

So I've become accustom to removing foliage below. That would be my first inclination is strictly coverage for canopy surface area 4x4 16sq feet.

Not to say I wouldn't be interested in additional side lighting should I decide to get lazy and just let them grow up naturally after pruning for multiple colas just let them develop flowers lower down the stalk.

I am open to both but would more then likely set up COB over the tops initially.

Yeah I was doing the same kinda thing had to start stripping back the lowers, so this winter as one of my 300w cob units went down, I built a 600/700w unit 3 cobs no lens`s

It`s just getting cool enough now that I can start using it this week or next week

So I`m hoping at least half of my side and lower buds get a lot bigger

around 2.2m by 1.4m we use in a 2.4 x 2m`ish tent, cut it to fit the area need to leave one side pretty empty so we can get to the veg

So yeah my plants are just 2 long rows, so the side light should hit one side of the whole 1st row and get some on the 2nd too, I may also add a short row of short plants at the front we can move out of the way.

Hoping with the extra 300 to 400w and the extra lighting angle I`ll see 1 to 2 zips more per plant, do between 8 and 12 pretty big ones in that area, so pulling 2 plants every 2 weeks or so

Only thing is if it does add a lot of extra weight I`ll have to work out how to keep it on in the summer, lol

If I decided to run 8 COB at 600 watt, whereas I'd have 4 over top and one at each side for a total of 8, not sure on driver for it either. I was thinking 2 on top at 6500k and other 6 at 2700k. I am not sure what that equates to yet with COBS. I am just know I like 1/3 white light (6500k) to 2/3 red (4500K) when flowering.

Too bad there's not an app tool that lets you plug in details to project best configuration.

So does anyone have any COB suggestions for me that will equate to the light spectrum I am trying to achieve a balance having 6 COBs of 2700K and 2 at 6500K. Is there a COB that has full spectrum? I may be misunderstanding I guess what light waves these produce.

All of the white COBs are "full spectrum" in so much as they produce some photons in every wavelength between 400nm and 700nm. With that said, lower kelvin temp COBs will be more wighted toward red whilst higher kelvin temps are more weighted toward blue. Pretty much any of them will grow dank, but you might see slight morphological differences between plants flowered under different colour temps. Feel free to mix them if you wish, but don't feel like you must - plenty of people are doing fine with one single colour temp anywhere between 3000k and 4000k and likely beyond. don't overthink it dude. peace
