LA Confidential roots started to die, premature birth [PICS]

Howdy folks,

A tragedy struck my garden after some poor judgement from yours truly. A misstep (and miscount) on my part ended up killing half of my roots a few weeks into flowering and completely stunted my plants growth. I tried my best to heal the plant over the course of the next 5-6 weeks and kept a prayer on the tip of my tongue the entire time. Fortunately, the plant did not die completely--I was able to recover what looks to be about an ounce or so from when I decided to harvest her.

She still smells wonderfully, and she went into the jars today after some time drying in closet.

This was my first grow, so it was nice to see just how sensitive these creatures are. While I ruined my LA Confidential plant, I had the good sense to not do the same thing to my Blue Dream plant (I wanted to see a difference what the 'food' would make), and she came out beautifully. I'm harvesting her right now(took a short break to post this).

My plants were planted pretty late in the season, so they didn't get to grow much before flowering. My LA Confidential plant got to about 14-16 inches or so, and the Blue Dream is sitting at around 24 inches right now. Both were packed pretty densely with buds; it was impressive to watch them grow and thrive, even with such small statures :D.

I didn't really do much in terms of topping, training, or keeping the plants trimmed while growing. I wanted to see how well they did by themselves, and what an all-natural cannabis plant looks like. I wasn't disappointed, it was one of the most enjoyable gardening experiences I've ever had. Ever since I started this grow, I've become absolutely obsessed with everything related to the plant, growing it, and what its potentials are (with over 80 chemical compounds that each have their own individual medicinal purpose, Cannabis could be considered a panacea of sorts).

Anyway, enough babbling. Here are a couple shots of the tiny amount that I got, but they look and smell great so I'm looking forward to the smoke. I'm going for an 8 week minimum on the cure. I'm thinking about cracking it open on Christmas and enjoying it with the loved ones.

Much respect and grow happy, RIU fam.

This was also my first time actually harvesting and trimming my own plant.. I know those photos may not be enough to show what kind of job I did, but if you have any tips that would improve my manicuring game, I'm all ears :-)
