LA Confidential X Mystery Haze

These seeds were picked up free from a fair in Amsterdam. I got 5 in the pack and out of these I got two runts, two males and one pathetic looking female that I jut hoped followed the indica line. She wasn't a very strong plant and she soon died.

Although I did pull some clones from her, and I now have one vegging in a bubbler and another 3 that i just threw straight into flower without a single day of veg'. See what happens.

Anyway, here's some pic's.

The first pic is of the vegging bubbler. It's vegging alongside the Master Kush. One day it gets HPS, the next it gets MH.

So, almost a week into veg' for the bubbling mother. She's doing great. She prefers the bubbler to hydro. her leaves are longer and she seems to be getting quite bushy. Her roots are nicely sinking into the solution and even though she's quite far from the light she's loving every minute of it.

Every time I do a bubbler I'm left really impressed. I can't wait to see how much she grows during this next week of veg'.

Here's the next feed I made up, she's getting the same as the chronic x white russian. If you can't be arsed to check, here's the nute make-up for this week.

Into 6litres of water...

15ml sensi grow A
15ml sensi grow B
20ml sensizym
20ml voodoo
0.6 ml barricade

This is just her first 6 days, what I like to call the rooting period. Upward growth is at a minimum. This next week will see more upward growth.

Right, the flowerers. I've added another 2, put these in hydro next to the bubbler. Same thing, no veg' just straight into flower. The clones were left out for a couple of days and did a couple of 12 hour dark shifts with the bubblers before my lazy ass decided to plant them rather than let them die.

Also, it'll be good to test the difference between bubbler and hydro.

One of the bubblers doesn't look like it's going to take. The other two are doing fine and have started to get pistils. I put some voodoo in on this feed in the hopes that the third bubbler will take.

This in 3litres of water...

7ml sensi bloom A
7ml sensi bloom B
30ml sensizym
30 ml voodoo
5 ml carboload
0.3 ml barricade
0.5 ml superthrive

I'm using heavy firepower in the hopes of kicking these into life.

The first pic' is of the plant that isn't taking so well. The 2 hydro's only got potted up yesterday. They survived the beating and I thought I might as well pot them up.

Oh yeah, the mix is different on the flowering hydro's too. In one there is a 65/35 mix of canna/perlite. In the other it's 90/10 canna/perlite. Something else to keep me occupied...

How do you determine such precise amounts of nutes.
Guesswork. I have a 5ml measure and i go from that. I look at it and i uhm and ah for a while. The simplest thing for me to do would be to get a 1 ml syringe... but I like doing the calculations.

I also do my dwc grows without a truncheon. I've never used one, the plants tell me evrything I need to know. I like to see them start to look undernuted before feeding time, shows they've used them all up. I do many calculations, and they haven't (well not really) let me down yet.

OK, here's a pic' of the bubbling mother at 1 week veg. She's looking much better than her mom that didn't really take too well to hydro. She has longer leaves and more of them.

In all fairness i really shouldn't belittle the LA's mom. she was a good plant, it was just me going on a coke binge and neglecting her that fucked her up.

Anyone ever mixed coke and viagra?

Anyway, good job i took some clones.

I've made up the feeds yesterday for the chronic x white russian and the bubbling la conf' as they share the same feed.

This into 6 litres of water.

Sensi grow, A 15ml
Sensi grow, B 15ml
Sensizym, 30ml
Voodoo, 30ml
Barricade, a drop
Superthrive, a drop

I'll post some pic's a little later. She's doing really well and is about twice the size since the last pic.

Now for the flowerers. These are taking quite well, and I'm expecting to see a bit more upward growth over the next few days. I'm dreading to think at how big these guys are going to end up. Although it will be interesting to find out the yield. The hydro's are doing ok too, although the bubblers look much better the hydro's are more than a few days behind.

Here's the feed for the flowerers into 6litres of water.

Sensi Bloom A 10ml
Sensi Bloom B 10ml
Sensizym 15ml
Carboload 5ml
Barricade, a drop
Big Bud 15ml

I'll post update pic's later.

The flowerers. 3 bubblers. The first bubbler has rooted now and a single root is hanging well into the solution. So think it'll make it. The other 2 are doing fine and there's been some upward growth. The hydro's seem to be standing still at the mo' but they are a few days behind the bubblers. If you look closely you'll notice some pistils on the 3rd pic'.

The bubbling mom is loving it now, and has drank a litre and a half of water in one day. I'm going to let her grow to about 6 nodes before topping her. I imagine she'll be necking about 3litres a day by then. After topping she'll slow down for a bit, although within a few days she'll be drinking heartily again and growing on average an inch per day. She's probably grow more but I'll be cloning her like mad over the next couple of weeks.

I had my doubts with this plant when grown in hydro, but she certainly loves dwc. Here's a couple of pic's of her at just 19 days veg. I'm going to be topping her soon but it will be useless as a clone as the main stem is just too thick.

I'm amazed yet again by the wonders of this grow method. She drank over 3 litres of feed in one day. and I've had to top her up again this morning. from experience though i know that once I chop her in half (lol) she won't drink as much for a while.

Ok the mom has been chopped in half and i took 6 clones off her on the 6th july. the main top had to be thrown away as the stem was just too thick. She's gone down to about 2litres of feed/water per DAY!
