Lack of taste

Hi to all . Ok i just harvested my 1st time grow of master cush the grow went well no problems at all decent size harvest 3.5 ounces per plant i used 80% of it to make RSO but the remainder i decided to use i only dry vape as i wont smoke . Now heres my problem on the vape it tastes fine and a real trippy high....good times but a good friend wanted some so i gave him some share the love lol but he said it was nice and clean no feed taste but it was seriously lacking in taste almost tasteless ? The weed stinks like it should it smells lovely but no taste can anyone help me in why this would be ?
My only thoughts is maybe it dried a little fast it took 7 days and did seem a bit dry but after that it was put in glass jars and opened for 10 mins every day for 3 weeks
Can anyone help me as im about to start my next grow and as this next harvest is 100% for smoking i dont want it to be like this one

My nutes was all dutch pro and it was grown in dutch pro coir . Was flushed for 2 weeks using a flushing agent
I harvested with about 15% amber trichomes

Was their smell throughought the drying? what were drying conditions?

coir doesnt always have as robust of flavors as organic/ soil growers get (allegedly)

a lot also has to do with the phenotype, the conditions, how heavy the airflow was, humidity

and most importantly, your drying/curing methods.

Gotta say my SLH grow isnt much for smell and taste , but boy is it strong , recent grow after years and years of not doing it.

One particular pheno dried much faster than the others and has....ah very unusual pineapple/indescrible smell to it.

They didn't however , smell that much in flower.........I actually have a Pineapple express that has JUST gone into flower that smells more than any of them did in full flower , this was all using biobizz allmix,grow,bloom and top max.

Definitely know I did not dry it enough before jarring and defo defo defo needed to wait for the stems to really 'snap'......its very deceiving how much moisture is left in the bud and it seems the more resin they have on them , the more they hold on to it (makes sense really).

ONE thing I have noted is that my buddy says my stuff REEKS , but I cannot smell it nearly as much as him....as soon as I take a Q outside in the open air , it suddenly does REEK.........must be the getting used to the smell thing and as you go outside your evaluating all the threat smells again.
