Ok, so after spending hours every day for over a year searching articles, reviews, and forums while taking my own experiences into consideration to figure out how to produce the best buds ever, I've established that my current set-up is inarguably one of the best for what I'm striving to achieve. The only thing that really matters to me is potency :bigjoint:

:joint: LIGHTING:joint:

:leaf: Lumigrow Pro 650

:leaf: 2x 125w CFL (Warm)

:leaf: 2x 125w CFL (Cool)

:leaf: 160w UV bulb ( 2 increase resin production)

(I might add some smaller CFLs for added coverage later on)

:weed:GENETICS :weed:

7x Gage Green Genetics - Landrace Colombian Gold (regular)

10x ACE - Landrace Double Thai (regular)

(Growing ~4 plants)

:peace: EQUIPMENT :peace:

:leaf: 5x5x9 Gorilla Grow Tent

:leaf: 4x 5gal Mesh-Top Buckets

:leaf: 4x Boss Hog Air Stones

:leaf:110lpm Hydrofarm Air Pump (12 outlet)

:leaf: Full Line of Dyna-Gro Nutrients

:leaf: Rapid Start Root Enhancer

:leaf: Botanicare CalMag+

:leaf: CO2 Tank + Regulator

:leaf: Extraction & Circulation Fans

:leaf: MDHJ spray for later in flowering:leaf:

:leaf: 4x SCROG

(I'm debating on whether SCROG is too stressful for a landrace. Should I use a less intense method of LST since these ladies get 9+ feet if untamed? Please don't try to answer this unless you or someone you know has experience with landrace sativas.)

If you think I've left something out, please let me know!!
I'm sure that throughout the 6 months it's going to take to grow these bad bitches, I'll find something else I need.

Happy Tokin!
bongsmilie

P.S. As of 11/10/12 I haven't started yet. I have everything except the CO2, the Lumigro, & the air pump, but I'll be starting by Dec. 1, 2012 at the latest.

Im interested in how u do with this grow. Did u pay the $1700+ for the lumi grow? I have a small LED its 250w all i use it for is vegging because i find it keeps the nodes nice and tight .

Thanks, me too! Actually, I found the Lumigrow for a little under 1500 on Ebay, but I haven't purchased it yet. I'm waiting on my next set of paychecks which arrive on the 30th. LED's are hit or miss. If you don't get a light with the right spectrum & quality diodes, you're wasting your money. It's also important to remember that most LED companies don't advertise the actual draw; Lumigrow is one of the few. For instance, your 250w probably only draws ~120w, but I can't tell you for sure until I know who manufactured it.

Update: The 12-outlet 110lpm air pump is in z mail and I got all the electrical wiring finished! I've also decided that I'm not growing more than 3 ladies. I want to baby tha fuck out of em'

Quick Question: I have the 125w CFLs ~6" away from each corner post of the room and I'm scared that they're going to get hot and damage my tent. Anyone have experience with 125+ watt CFL's being close to their mylar?

Got my CO2 today!

AAAAAaaand I got an Iphone 4s. Whoopeeeee!!! That's exciting for me since I've been using a flippy fossil for the last 5 years.

I also decided to grow one or two Apollo 13 BX along side the Colombian Golds. Those have been ordered today. Hopefully, they'll arrive before the Lumigrow does.

Mmmkayy. Well, I've finally got everything I need except for the light. Oh, and I totally forgot about a co2 monitoring device. I'm going to have to invest in one of those, but probably not until the end of the month. Unfortunately, I didn't get the Apollo 13, but I ordered some Tahoe OG and some Lavender. I got a portable A/C unit because I want to be able to control the temp and humidity, but I'm having a problem trying to fit everything in there. I've decided to take a tarp that I bought of craigslist and sew the edges together to make a 5 sided cube, put some velcro on it, and velcro/tape it to back door opening to extend the room and make a little alcove for my A/C. I don't want to lose any of the air in the room since I'm using CO2 and I bought a dual exhaust a/c for that purpose, but at the same time, I don't want to give up that much space so the alcove seems to be the answer. I like big girls ;) I'll take some pics with my new phone and put them up tomorrow so ya'll can get an idea of what's about to go down. Hopefully, I'll be germing some sexy biotches in the next week or so!!

Mmmm...lavender and tahoe og...both excellent strains. Haven't grown out tahoe yet (on my list) but watch out for stretching on the lavender. Can't wait to see everything all setup!

Thanks, puff! I'm so excited, I can hardly contain myself. Unfortunatley, I can't be selfish with my funds this month bc I have to buy xmas presents, at least for my folks, so I can't buy anything other than the Lumigrow. I h8 the holidays, but I have a great set of parentals, so I kinda owe them big time. Doooooo iiiitttttt, D3monic! I'd love to see someone else's experience with a Lumigrow. I feel like such a guinea pig. I've only seen a few grows with the new Lumigrows, but they all look pretty kick-ass. Greg Greens Grow Bible? That's something I'll have to look into. I know that a couple years ago finding good literature on cannabis @ the book store was practically impossible. Due to the increasing popularity of weed, that might have changed, but where did you get that book? Btw, I love your profile pic, D3monic :blsmoke:

WTF???? So it posted itself twice and when I deleted the extra, the attachments stopped working. Literally the second I deleted all the pics. I guess you have to keep the pics on the computer for them to stay uploaded? That would be reeeeallly stupid. I hope it was just a shitty coincidence.

Actually, it's quieter than the 45lpm pump. I guess it rattles less, but I hang it from the ceiling to minimize vibrations neway, so I don't really notice it with everything else goin' on in there.

Either way, I'm still growing some Tahoe OG and some Lavender. What would you recommend as far as ppms on those ladies? I'm using the whole dyna-grow line + rapid start."

Homebrewer:

I've got some landrace going right now too and if that's what you have on your hands, they'll turn into trees! There is nothing you can do about it on the first run as you'll need to grow them big enough to clone them, then throw them into flower. Don't be afraid to top them in flower and tie them down. Easy on the nutes, maybe 350-400ppm (.7 scale) in flower max. Read the plants, pace yourself, keep your medium and roots healthy. Sats are easy to grow if you're patient. Don't 'push' them, just let them do what they do by lightly meeting their nutritional needs, which will be a lot more N than P and K. Grow formula from start to finish with plain water mixed in there to keep your medium clean is what I do. Again, take it easy on the food and I would not recommend using any bloom formula.

Does that change anything or would you still recommend 350-400ppm? Once again, I really appreciate it.

Homebrewer:
Landrace in DWC, oh dear, you're going to put holes in your ceiling. Seriously, you might need to flower those from a clone-sized plant.

Hydro changes things a bit in regards to feedings. Hydro plants don't seem to need as much N, or rather N is more available than it is to plants grown in the dirt. They also seem to utilize P better too so if you're using DG, maybe 2/3rds bloom and 1/3 grow for all of flower? 400ppm (.7 scale) is good for veg, maybe 700-800 for flower (1.0-1.1 EC)? Are you jounraling this grow? I'd like to see how these girls look.

I'm so excited!! I planted 5 Colombian gold & 3 Tahoe OG Kush and I'm hoping for 2 of each to come back fem. The Colombians are a couple years old, but I've put my seeds in the fridge for the last few months. Out of the 8 seeds, 6 have cracked open. 4 of the Colombians and one OG are sprouting! One of the CGs has already popped out of the rockwool cube, but it's a little limp. I'm gonna get some superthrive today and put 1 drop in 4 gallons with hopes to regenerate her and give em' a booster. Anything wrong with this idea? Or anyone got a better idear?

OH, and I added a couple Blue Satellite 2.2 - (Spice of Life) in there. Hopefully, one of em will come back fem for my soil grow in the air pot.
