I know I should go by what my loupe tells me, but if you had to tell a blind man when he should chop these girls, approximately which date would you pick?

I don't know how long those strains are supposed to go personally. Many strains are good to be harvested around the 8-9 week mark, but many take 10-11, and that CG is likely going to take 14-16+ from the looks of it. The lavender I'm thinking would prolly be the first one done from how they look, and the alchemist a couple weeks after that. It depends on the grow, but far more so on the genetics.

The calyxes (calyi?) will get big and plump and covered with sugar.

Like this (which could have gone longer if the weather was warmer):

Take a few buds or a cola if you really need some smoke but wait as long as the plant can take it for the killa smoke. You will be blown away by how amazing your plant will get!

Cheers,
Mo

I've got some TRAGIC fucking news. I start probation next month and won't be able to smoke for a very long time. I really don't know what I'm going to do. I seriously considered moving to Germany where MMJ is allowed. I also thought about blowing up the evidence room &/or courthouse in the wee hrs of the A.M. as to not kill anyone, but I guess I'd rather not be exiled from my family and friends for pot. This blows fat cock. I hope that stupid cunt of an ex-girlfriend gets Ebola from being raped by infectious baboons:finger:. I hate my life... I had to chop the Colombian Gold because she still had at least 8 more weeks before chop, wasn't done growing, and I wouldn't get to smoke her anyway. Plus, growing a jungle of cannabis while on probation probably wouldn't be the best idea. This is fucked. The only reason I was growing in the first place was for the CG. Everyone else was being pushed into the corners and neglected. I'm just hoping I'll get to cut and dry these before it's time to stop smoking. This makes me sick :spew:

Update. 3.2.13 (Day 51)

Noooooooooo! I feel so bad for you man! Where do you live (what state)? You can always visit us here on RIU. I will grow some killer sativa for you to watch. :)

When you are done with probation you can get back to work :)

Sorry to hear about that, G...You gotta handle those priorities though and be safe so I understand. Better Safe than Sorry, it's an age old saying, some what cliche, but some of the best words to live by. on a bright note you got some beautiful girls/sweet grow skills, kick ass lights, and if it's one thing you can be sure of, mj will still be here later when you are all clear and good to go again. you've been doing a killer job on this run and the girls look amazing. i hope they finish up so you can take as many fatties to the head as you can before you stop for good. good luck all around brother. i'm sending positive vibes in your direction. Stay Up!

Haha, hopefully living vicariously through ya'll won't be toooo bad. I'm in TX where we have more people in prison for drug charges than any other state. Hell, we have more people in prison than any other state. And yes, I'll be counting down the days...

Thanks, mayne! That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me all year :D I'll be smokin' till the time runs out. Possibly even on the way to the probation office, but I guess it might be nice to take a break. It's only a little over a year if all goes well and, hopefully, that'll give me time to focus on school or some other shit that requires memory and a clear head. I'm gonna have to find a hobby and something else to fog up my dome in my down time. Has anyone ever been on probation before? I'm wondering how this is gonna play out.

That totally sucks man, I can't believe it. A friend of mine is on probation and doesn't get drug tested but it wasn't for drug charges. I can't imagine having to cut that CG, must have used a machete.

I'm seriously considering biochemical engineering. I'm only about 30 credit hrs away from a chemical engineering degree, so I might as well just learn organic chemistry to the fullest extent possible and try to end up working for AN or some shit to develop a better product :P But yea, it was fucking gruesome. A machete would've worked better. It broke my heart. I had my friend help me and he did most of the dirty work. I had to use kitchen shears and pliers on some of them. Until the shears broke... The trimmers didn't stand a chance, lol. I shoulda taken a pic of that knot. It was the size of my fist, but I just wanted to get it bagged and tossed quickly. I didn't want to think about it. Like a band-aid. Eh. I guess it could be worse. There are people who don't have food, shelter, friends, or family. I need to stop feeling sorry for myself. My friend is in the peace corps in West Africa for the next 2 years, has to boil her water, kill her food, struggle to communicate, and just got parasites. I need to cheer up, lol.

Here's an update! 3.8.13 - I must say, these girls are far exceeding my expectations for a first crop. I don't know what I'd do without ya'll! Thank you so much!

(Night shots from last week; the rest were taken today)

Super Silver Haze Pheno #2 - I'm most excited about this one

I think the sheer amount of extra time it still needed was his thought that he won't have time to finish it.

Maybe I missed something. Why chop the CG and keep the others?
Oh, believe me. The CG was the only plant I really gave a shit about, but I start probation next month for possession of ~2lbs of bud in a non-mmj state. Didn't really have much of a choice. She had at least a few more months before I could smoke her.

Haha, thanks! I'm buying some shatter this week so I'm going to get bakeeeeddddd. Shit, I've only been smoking weed for about 2-3 years now and I'll still be able to smoke a couple days out of the month. Or at least I really hope so... I really can't feel sorry for myself because I have to stop smoking weed, though. My life could be much worse. I rarely realize how much I take things for granted. I'd be willing to bet there's hundreds of thousands if not millions of people in underdeveloped countries who'd give up their first born and right hand to have my life.

2.5 billion people in this world live without basic sanitation.

780 million people don't have clean water.

3.4 million die each year from unsanitary water.

50% of people in the 50 least developed countries live off of less than $1/day.

We've got it easy. I'm not exactly a peta pushing humanitarian, but taking a couple minutes to really let it sink in that you had nothing to do with the way you were born and you could have just as easily been born with aids in Haiti. Idk. This shit makes me feel a little better sometimes.

ooopdayte 3.10.13

Lavender got chopped on Sunday. I saw her first amber trichs on Saturday. Trim in freezer (how long does it have to freeze/dry before I can blast it into oil?)

El Alquimista. I set up a drying tent and was worried Lavender would dry too quickly by herself, so I chopped a little bit of the El Alquimista, too. I couldn't find any amber trichs, but most of the hairs were red and I figured I'd like to try a sample of clear/cloudy vs cloudy/amber.
