Foxtailing happens from pheno traits or some eviromental / feeding and other issues.

Most commonly from heat stress as bud " tries " to aerate / cool itself. It really isn't a bad thing , just something that happens. You will still get smoking goodness , visually they just look a bit different than what you may be accustomed to. Nothing wrong.

Check triches - only way to know. Forget looking at ambers or waiting for it. Some strains don't even go Amber. Look for the percentage of cloudy , near cloudy or clear.
If you see at least all semi cloudy , then wait a few days. If all pretty much , then prepare to cut her before lights on ( you can then begin cutting fans / leaves ) and harvest .
