Led Lights and Super Soil Question

My question is:
"Has the plant's reduced need for nutrients when using led lights been known to cause fert burn when growing in supersoil?"

The context of the question:

I have DP's Ultra Skunk in flower that was originally under a 600w hps with Hortilux bulb for the first 4 weeks of flower. On week 5 the lights were upgraded to a Advanced Platinum P600 and now, (a week later), under a AT600. However, after about 3 days under the P600, signs of fert leaf tip burn were starting to show up. The supersoil is Vic Highs recipe and has never caused fert burn for past grows and a Grand Daddy Purple I have going right now in the same batch of soil but under a 400w hps is showing no signs of fert burn. The DP also didn't show any fert burn either until the leds were fired up. The burn isn't severe by any means but it is a first using this recipe and the soil has been aged for 4 months.

Anyhow, any help or advice is welcomed.

I had those issues with the non cob leds,
Nearly every grow, but not after switching to 3000k cobs.
You might be on to something.

I bet your light is too close. 24'' from the tops! farther is better than too close, especially when you start.

Hi GreenSanta,
The Apache light is 34" above the canopy if that is considered too close. When the P600 was running it was at 24". Couldn't tell you if Vic High still exists but I am sure you could run a search on that as well as the recipe. Probably one of the most well known original supersoil recipes. If it ain't broke why fix it?

those lights got an improper spectrum, used to happen to me when i ran with blurple LEDs, targeted spectrum never works like it's hyped up to , it always fucks with the metabolic rate.

1st paragraph, big mistake... You did Not upgrade from a 600w hps, to an advanced platinum led!

You downgraded!

I have used those platinum leds and they make the leaves go yellow unless you have them over 3ft away. Even caused the tips to curl up. I sold them 2 weeks ago for a decent price.

Sell it and cut your losses! Life's to short to fu*k around with shite leds!

I bought mine 2nd hand, then made £80 when I sold them. I had 2 P150's.

I'm sorry to hear that you also fell for the lies from platinum led. Many have...lol There'll me be more!!! lmao

Advanced platinum is notoriously bogus. Starting with straight up lies, deception and misrepresentation to shitty materials and outlandish behavior and claims by the clot of grovelling asses who market their crap. As has been noted in earlier posts PLED was banned by 420MAG where pretty much anything to make a dollar is tolerated.

Hi,
Thank you so much for your replies. I have to agree with what everyone is saying. Since I switched to the Apache w/r the progression of the problem seems to be coming to a halt. I am going to be trying a new supersoil next grow. Bought the nutrient mix from KIS Organics. I saw the recipe for SubCool's version and like it but it seems you have to buy so much additional nutrient rich potting soil besides what you need to make the mix. Might give it a try in the future but got to give the KIS a fair chance first since it is already paid for.

To keep it 100% real there are growers who get very nice buds w PLED same with MARS. Many experienced LED users got hooked by the marketing hype of early LED marketers then graduated to DIY.

Bro same hype is prevalent in the soil mix shenanigans. Have you mix analyzed by a lab and get some rational suggestions to improve your media.
