Looks nice, it lists CREE and Bridgelux chips though not which ones specifically. Either panel would probably work for your space if you can choke down the price. However you could build something equivalent for about half the price using COB's. It's so easy now days that you could build a panel without firing up a soldergun, just using basic tools around the house.

Either way post your results :hump:

I don't have a minimal grasp on types of all the different specs on how to make a LED assembly though. Seems daunting..

It's really not all that bad. While it can get very complicated, that's only when you're getting down to the nitty gritty. Realistically you can build a 50watt light using a swiss army knife. The best and least daunting way in my unprofessional opinion, is to simply find a thread with a similar profile with the results you want and emulate it verbatim as much as you can. There are lots of folks here willing to help as well if you have more specific questions.

If you still don't think you can handle it. I'd also encourage you to look at Area-51, Hans, or Apachee LED lights. They are considered some of the best in the industry at the moment.

So I was looking at 2 area 51 190's and that's 1028 after taxes, at 380 total watts is 2.70$ per watt.
The Optic Lighting UFO style at 420 watts at 1300$ after taxes is 3.10$ per watt.
The Optic Lighting square style at 560 watts at 1515$ after taxes is 2.70$ per watt.
I looked at the Bonsai Hero Hans and at only 80 watts that is not enough..
The Apache Tech lights are way too spend for the higher watt choices.. I was looking at Onyx Bloom but they are unavailable..

I looked at Black Dog but they don't list what type of led's used. According to what I see on here, Cree is the gold standard?

Keep in mind that in LED land more power(watts) does not necessarily mean better growth or better resuts. I'd look around there are people using all of these lights.

Don't be so quick to dismiss the Hans panels. The guy who makes them has had great results on his other website and more info on how to build your own light.

Or an XGS-190 and two RW-75's. Or just four R/W 75's
