Hi Guys,

I am looking at a few LED panels and this one seems decent, but what do i know?

Im trying to buy locally so please forgive me for posting every few days when i find something that looks like it could work.

Can you advise me about this - is it ok for a personal grow?
  • LED quantity: 60PCS
  • LED Power: 600W
  • LED Type: Double 5W Epistar LED Chip
  • Dimension: 310*210*60mm (12.2 x 8.26 x 2.36inches)
  • Emitting Color: Full Spectrum Color (Veg and Bloom)
  • Wavelength: Red(620-630nm;650-660nm); Blue(440-450nm;450-460nm); Orange(600-610nm); IR(730nm); White(3500K;6000K) ,UV(380-410nm)
  • Input Voltage(V): AC85V-265V
  • Power Consumption: energy saving, consumes approx about 120W power, much better than the same product in the marketplace
  • Working Temperature: -20 – 50 degrees
  • Working Lifetime: >50000 Hrs
  • Ideal Replacement: MH/HPS Lamps
  • Plug Type : AU , JP, EU, UK, US-Type

here's why it's junk, mixing a bunch of different mono chrome diodes (probably low bin and quality) is stupid as they each have a different voltage requirement. Eventually some will burn out before the others.

Neutral white monos contain all the colors in a ratio complimentary to cannabis, BUT, during early veg and flower a touch of 450 and 630 enhances the results. I use both Amare Technologies and an old BML SPYDR 600 that I chose the color using highest quality diodes at that time

HGL and weilights look like very good lower budget panels

LEDs spectrum sucks, and your plants show it.

Why don't you post up some pictures of those burnt up plants with cal/mag problems so we can get a good laugh @PetFlora

lol that is definitely an unhealthy plant, but led's spectrum definitely doesn't suck. I know firsthand because I flowered with hps and vegged with mh and t5s for 7 years with great success before switching to led. and even with the shitty blurples that were available when I first switched back in 2010, I was able to improve the quality from good to amazing while keeping gpw the same initially and then eventually surpassing the highest gpw I ever got with hps.

there are literally thousands of pics/videos of perfectly grown led plants on instagram, youtube, this forum, and all the others.

check out pics and videos of grows by growmau5, sixstring, greengenes, etc for tons of examples of super healthy plants grown with leds

I understand , but when that guy posts advice people should know what his deathly plants look like.

Oh and LED spectrum does suck compared to good growing lights, that is all.

LOL, first picture was taken with light on had way too much white light washing out the colors, making it look all dried out. I should have turned the light off and used flash (any moron could have seen that and not used it as their example). That 'rekt' plant yielded ~ 3/4 # and was very nicely received by those who played along. To blame it on LEDs is a good example of how ignorant and prejudiced he is. Yoda, he aint!

He's just one example of why I don't bother to start threads here anymore. Alas, he has followed me to others.

So far never saw one of his threads, but lots and lots of his ignorant posts in other threads as well.

Here's 2 getting ready to come down under an Amare SE 250. They got a little burnt aftr I added micros late in flower. Turns out micros will drop pH like a rock. That fact was not mentioned on their product page or packaging. I discovered that it went from ~ 6.0 to 4.5 the next day. I was getting flooded every 3 hours, or ~ 6 feeding before I checked pH the next morning, but he will likely blame the lights. Besi to put him on ignore

oh shit dude, yea you could have found this info in the organics section. microorganisms are the sole backbone to fermentation. Fermentation happens when microorganisms reach peak capacity in an anaerobic culture and they basically turn a carb rich liquid or solid into vinegar or kimchi. However, what you did was not fermentation but a probiotic tea (b/c you are aerating), which too would drop the pH dramatically as the bacteria cultured in your DWC or whatever. Soil doesnt flip like that though since bacteria are present in all stages of growth, a good soil buffers the pH and you can add bacteria every other week if you like.

What do you mean by this? In your own country, city...at your local hydro shop? Where are you...roughly?

What area are you looking to light?

Also I thought you said you already bought a "300w" Viperspectra (which pulls less than 130w at the wall, and due to inefficient drivers and leds would compare to less than 100w of decent led lighting ie. if you spent the 100+ dollars on decent led light bulbs at 5-6 ea and removed the diffusers you'd be way ahead ... 300w of decent quality light... like 3x Viperspectras, or 3x the above light)

I bought that vipar 300w but the shipping was a mess up and it ended up going back and they refunded me!
Wasted 2 weeks. so now im trying to buy something where i live.
its for 2 plants. so the area is 2 x 1.5 foot roughly.
