LED tips for a first timer

I have no experience with LEDs I'm wanting to pull the trigger on two NL Photon 180s for a 3x3x6.5 tent. I figure I can flower 3-4 medium size plants in there.

My concern is I've read about light burn and nutrient issues with LEDs. What are some of the things I should know about LED before I go ahead and buy some?

My sole interest in LED over HID is lower heat and lower electric bills.

Thanks

I've only been using my cob leds for a month today.. I had vegged plants when I bought it...
so I put them right into flower.. as far as nutes ...I haven't noticed any difference..
my tent used to run hot at 88-94.. now it is cool at 72-74... wife told me the light bill is down about $30..
My plants are too tall for my tent so they are only 12" from the light. They need to be 16".. got some leaf bleaching so I dimmed it down.. working good now!! Best investment I've ever made!

What a decrease in temps, wow! What size tent are you using? And can I get a look at the light you built? Thanks
