Surely there are more people out there using LEDs. Step up people. Anybody using LEDS who is not selling them can speak up!
I just started using leds. I bought my friends 90w unit to replace my 150w hps; he upgraded to the "doberman growL" (300w) and a bigger cab. the one i got is called the "boxer growL," but i'm not sure of the company that makes it.

i've been flowering for about 10 days under it and my plants seem very happy. I'll post some pics if i can get a camera

Arss,

Thanks for stopping in! Welcome to the thread! We are all interested in seeing what you have grown under your light. The more information you can provide on the company and the lighting specs, would be great!

Thanks for posting!
We eagerly await pics!

We need more input from LED users still.... surely there are more people out there trying new things with leds or growing with leds....

somethin im experimenting with is high powered warm white leds. i added these three 15 watt fixtures that are setup as incandescent replacements (they screw right into a socket). each fixture has 3 bulbs that are each 5 watt crees. each of these fixtures puts out a similar footprint as a 90 watt ufo. i believe that it is helping my light penetration as my lights are about a foot above my clones, and they are budding down to the bottom nodes. the higher wattage bulbs seem to put out a wider footprint and farther penetration.

Hello all well i use hid lights and ive wondered myself about leds because after 1 grow when i added up my electric reciepts it added up to near £500 for electric so the high price for led would pay for itself in 1 grow just on the energy saved. So anyway i went and bought 2 11watt led lights 1 red and blue spectrum 630nm red and 465nm blue or something like that and 1 all red 1 and i fired a near dead plant i had sitting on my kitchen window from a previous grow (ppp) and for the amount of led lighting i had i near shit myself in 1 week it had grown 1 inch yes its not alot but for what i was useing i was impressed and after 2 weeks it was thriveing. So as far as im concerned at the very least leds would be perfect for a mother plant and if ya had the doe id imagine they would get a dead on small grow but still think they need a load more years to b fine tuned before they will compare to hid but they will deff take over from hid i just wish theyd hurry up ta fuck and make them better and more importantly cheaper cause i dont have that sorta do all at 1 time to get set up with led. But deff ppl stop useing other lights for your mothers and go led :)

I could say I am filthy rich, so price is not an issue.

What is expensive to you, may not seem expensive to me.

No I am not filthy rich. I grow houseplants and sell them locally for profits, and it supplies my hobbies.

You cant just bash a light saying it is expensive. My car was expensive, does that mean it sucks?

If you do not wish to provide anything positive, or results. Please move on.

Thank you,

Yes, I highly doubt you will need AC unless your ambient temp is really hot as it is. As in high 90's. Even then. It can be done without AC...Look at Irishboy's thread...

Before the mites that is..

I just converted to leds. I'm running a 14w for rooting clones, 27w for veg and a 180w for flowering in a 2x3 stealth cabinet. I'm so sick of dealing with heat and replacement bulbs. I'll post how things turn out. -DF

Length Times Width Man.....Come on. Perhaps you should read some FAQs before delving into your project. Not to bash you, but you seem unprepared for so many plants....
