Hey RiU,

So I stopped growing for a few years and forgot my 600w mh/hps bulb and ballast in an I heated outbuilding for 2 or 3 winters. I’m in Canada where the temps get to -25 Celsius at the coldest and I’m wondering if this would be detrimental to the equipment or if I would still be able to use this light setup for a grow that I’m planning. Bulb isn’t a huge issue but would be great to still use the ballast. If anyone knows let me know!

I'm way up north too and it shouldn't be a problem. If it's an old magnetic I'd open it up and vacuum out all the mouse turds and dust bunnies tho before test firing it. Mine are all sitting in the damp cellar when not in use and have worked fine for almost 20 years.

Even a digital should be opened to check for dust etc before using. Should be past it's warranty by now. :)

:peace:
