Left light on for last 24 hours, 3 weeks into flowering

So I manually decide when my babies go from light to dark at this moment and appaerantly I didn't unplug the light all the way this morning and didn't catch it so my plants that are around 3 weeks into flowering have been under light for 24 hours straight today... I noticed when I went to turn the lights on as they start about this time, but I'm wondering if I should shut them off and keep em off for 24 hours till the next light cycle, or just run them through this one making it 36 hours then dark? Thanks

I just unplugged them as I think the 24 hours off and back into the regular cycle is the right way to go about this, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you are doin it right. Shutt the light off for 24 and get them back on the correct shcedule. Some dark is better than none.

Your plants are a little confused but they will recover.

Pray for no hermies.

You could also Get Dutch Master Reverse, and Penetrator and hit them with THAT ASAP to gurantee they wont hermie on you.

The window is closing though to use DMR and DMP , as the latest it can be used is the third week of flowering.

cheers for your help but it was not my main light NOT my HPS just the room light which is just a shitty energy saving bulb and my plants are about 3 meters away from it, does that make it better or does it still stress out the plants? nice one

it's actually worse, as the intensity isn't enough for growth, just stretching and more stress and shock.

keep your lights going 12/12, and don't use the room light if it's going to be forgotten.

YOU SHOULDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS. IVE DONE THE SAME THING. I SWITCHED MY FIXTURES AND BULBS OUT THE OTHER DAY (GOT SOME DIFFERENT LIGHTS) ANDDID THIS. MY TIMERS HAVE A FIXTURE "ON" SWITCH ON TOP TO ALLOW YOU TO TURN THE LIGHTS ON MANUALLY, BYPASSING THE TIMER. WHEN I GOT MY NEW FIXTURES PUT UP,I SET MY TIMERS,ECT AND SOMEHOW ACCIDENTALLY FLIPPED THE BYPASS SWITCH. I WATCH MY TEPS CLOSELY WITH A REMOTE THERMOMETER, AND USUALLY IN THE DARK PERIOD, IT SAYS AROUND 70 DEGREES, WITH MID-HIGH 80S BEING THE NORM WITH THE LIGHTS ON. I NOTICED HIGHER TEMP AND FIXED THE PROBLEM DIRECTLY, BUT THEY GOT ABOUT 2 1/2 HOURS MORE LIGHT THEN THEY SHOULD HAVE. THEY WILL BE ok THOUGH, JUST GO BACK ON 12/12

FYI...plants dont get "confused" as they DONT HAVE BRAINS. photosynthesis is a chemical reaction, not a conscience physical reaction on the part of a plant. also, plants wont turn into hermaphrodites in stress situations unless the plant they originally came from had hermaphrodite tenancies. tenancies to turn hermaphrodite are genetic defects in the plant, and can be brought on by stress, but leaving your lights on for an extra 2 hours or 4 hours isnt going to generally do it unless it was on the verge anyway

just speaking from my OWN experiences.

This tread was very helpful. What happened to the original dudes plants in the end I hope you respond with what happened. I may have left one of my 1k watt hps over night during week 4 of flowering. I feel like the titan timer failed but very well have been my fault. Anyways they got 24 hrs straight so I'm letting them run the full 36 then going to put them to sleep for there normal 12. I'm just looking to see if this happened. To anyone else . I seem like a idiot I'm sure but this is my first grow my original plants are still in veg but my friends crop had to b emergency style brought to my place and I was forced into learning both cycles and nuitrent schedules at the same time with hydro.ill tell ya what I've seen some plants in my time but when my teacher brought over 9 sativa dominants in 5 gallon buckets frigin sweet f the 2 gallon pots I'm buying the 5 expansions if they get cheaper or ill make my own but these things are beast. Any ways I read the guy who said in his own opinion they should be fine. Just seeing if anyone ever goofed like my dumb ass.

I Have done this exact same thing, I left accidently switched the timer to "on" manually when I was vacuuming. U will be fine, i left my 1000w on for a full 24 hours on weeks 4 and no hermies. good luck to you tho

yup i agree extended darkness.... pointless did you try magic beans or a leprachaun? because they would have no effect as well keep the cycle normal and quit fuckin up

left my plant under an extra 5 hours 20 minutes of light. so your saying if its a 1 off thing it should be fine?

i disagree a leprechaun would prolly help tremendously... and if not i mean youd still have a fucking leprechaun which would be awesome.

Hahah...... totally agree. And also, I know this thread is an old thread, but leaving your lights on accidentally for a period that short isn't gonna do much.... people around here get so angry replying to some of these questions. Cheers!
