Legalization legislation

CBC tv is now reporting that the Liberal's legalization legislation will be introduced to the House on Thursday (13 April) . I never thought I would live long enough to see the day ..........

Sweet, I know a lot of people on here said it would not happen....... I hope they allow for home growing and more then 4 plants, maybe like 6-12 plants, 25 preferred.

Lol, if we get more than 4 id be suprised. 25 is a definite never gonna happen

I also heard that they will limit how big you can grow your four plants

They said 100cm...we'll see on Thursday. Unless you are attracting heat to your house doing something else, you're golden. They're not going to be sending cops around to measure (or count plants).

4 100cm plants could keep the average rec smoker happy. Especially if they were able to buy clones every two months.
There's going to be tons of money in clones to be made I'm surprised there's not already someone on it

I'm all over it, been in talks with several local nurseries in my area. There is some interestested and some not. Only time will tell. Their issue was if they needed a special licence. Which they might need a production licence.

The average smoker will not spend 4+ months growing 4 plants to get a lb of weed. They will for a bit till the novelty wears off of having to water the plants every 2-3 days for 1/3 of the year and not being able to leave the house for extended period of time. Hell with 4 plants I wouldn't bother either and I've grown lots. Either buy an LB for $1000 off the black market or just buy it at the store.

Exactly, people are lazy. Not many will grow. Lots will try it and fail. Instead of 4 3' plants I'm going to grow 1 12' plant on my patio.....it's ridiculous to limit size.

I apologize if my comment gave the impression I think people will do it.
I think anyone willing is already doing it and probably more then 4

the control measures they plan are ludicrous...
should be funny to see the questions put to them.

I'd like to be able to grow the 4 for each of my sons in my garden. They both want to try growing their own (they're in their 20's) but I already have everything set up...why can't they grow at my place? I'm sure there will be some stipulation about it being your own residence, but that will need to change. I can grow tobacco for them and make beer and wine....

do what you wish the way I see it...

The court cases will be funny too if anything actually goes through....

I think I might get into robing banks as the cops will be very busy checking every house in Canada to see if they have 5 or 6 plants and if any are 3ft 2inches or more. that will really cut into their donut time

Don't get me wrong I'm hope I'm 100% wrong as my lively hood depends on it and there's 100000's who grow but just like vegetables no one grows them hydroponicly all year round or in winter indoors. Most will grow during the summer but that's at a hobby level thing, the rest of the year they buy their stuff in a store.

If we had weather like California it might be different, same with hobby hydroponics, its SO much bigger in the sunny states than in Canada. Here hydroponics means weed there its now something that is known for growing food crops and hydroponics has lost that "weed" stigma it still has in Canada.
