Light burn or nute issue?

A lot of strains get purple stems. My OG18 clones came with purple stems in December and have been fed good nutes including CalMag and some epsom salts and they're still purple and growing great. Tomorrow they get flipped after a good dose of everything including Big Bud and extra from the Bloom bottle. I want them well fed for the stretch then they will go onto the Lucas feed for the rest of their lives. I still have some Connoisseur 2 - part Bloom nutes left so they will get a couple good feedings of that then switch to AN 3 - part for any feedings after the stretch. Plants will feed at up to 4x their normal rate during the stretch but feeding drops off rapidly right after. I did daily ppm checking during a few DWC grows and observed this sudden drop in the daily ppm readings as flowering began. With a tub full of plants it dropped about 60 ppm/day just before flipping and a week later would go down about 220 each day. There were 14 plants in one tub so you wouldn't see that much drop in ppm with single plant systems or multiple plants in something like an RDWC with a larger rez. You would still see a dramatic increase in feeding tho.

Yeah, after that last res change, my ppm meter hovered around 900, give or take 20, but again, idk what conversion this is :? 75% strength lucas

I've currently got just GH Micro+Bloom in the res, is that enough mag?
What's the make and model of your ppm pen? Should be able to find out what conversion ratio it uses on their website. There is quite a difference between the 3 different types. I have a Hanna that's at least 20 years old and still works OK but reads 10x and bought one a year or two ago that reads in 1x for using when I make colloidal silver. It's a TDS EZ by HM Digital and uses the same Hanna scale.

I found a great spot to download FREE POT BOOKS. I downloaded a grow bible first and got lots more. Books look great and complete like the real ones I have here. No web site but just a page of links. Just right click on what you want and then "Save Link As" to download so they don't open first as some are 50+ megs. They got lots. Enjoy.

It's an HM Digital TDS meter. Am I allowed to link? It's a best seller on amazon lol, but I looked through the questions, and there's no mention of an EC conversion. Been scratching my head for a while.

Figured it's still useful for me to gauge my stuff (I could tell when it was feeding on target or under/over). I need to remember to keep a better eye on it next time and realize a 10 ppm difference is significant at this point in flower

Hi all,

Couldn't find an answer (specifically for crispy leaves). You all have been super helpful, so I figured I'd ask here:

Should I be removing the crispy/dying leaves from the plant? Seems to be a contentious question (for healthy fan leaves in general), but I was wondering if there were any reasons to remove these curled up, brown, dead/deadish leaves.
