No, but close. The smaller you go the less efficient they are so 2x150 will burn more electricity than 1x300 (if there is a 300) and put off a bit less light... But 3 feet height limit, you could have plants closer to 2x150 lights.

I'm running 250's and plants can be within 4" or so of a bare bulb if a fan is pointed towards the bulb.

With that little height I would suggest a cooltube, or some other type of cooled glass barrier so that even if they get too tall and grow right into the light they can't be fried.

there is always the question of more lights sources equaling better light distribution.....i would go with 2 smaller ones and go with a wider shorter grow area if I had suck little vertical space

two ponit sources of light are better then one. I've never seen a 300W bulb, but two 150's are better for light distribution and a broader scope = larger & wider grow surface, but shorter which means less stretching. Also they each give off less heat thus no need for special reflectors, but paint or cover the environment white.

thanks everyone
there isn't a 300 i was just using it as an example but this is what i figure
6" tall pot

8" till the scrog screen

and the flower tops could get 10" at the most

so I have 2 feet so far leaving me about 7" in between the light and the 2 plants

what light(s) should i use if i get a fan between the canopy and the light

thanks
