Light Vs. Pot

Yep, the bigger the light, the fatter the colas. For really big plants, veg under the same light intensity that you flower under. For example, if you are using a 1000 watt HPS, then veg under it too. The more veg time, the more bud too. Also, proper pruning comes into play as well, All of your plant's energy focus should be on maybe four branches, maybe six. Everything else (lower branches) should be trimmed away starting with the flip to 12/12. That's the time to take cuttings too. If you're growing SOG ... then all the energy focus should be on the one main cola.

I know this already. I was just wondering, say you had a gun to your head and you had to pick one or the other which would you choose?

I've already noted that the best time to trim is right after 12 12 because the only plant we did it to at that time (the rest were done 2 weeks into flowering:confused: ) is our best budding plant. I've learned a lot in this first grow, still have a lot more to go, but I've always been a quick learner, and when it's something I enjoy i always strive to be the best, and by all that may or may not be holy I enjoy cultivating cannabis. Not just growing and smoking but the plant itself. Not only will I be growing for profit but I'll also have my own seperate grows for experimentation and record breaking yields from one plant.

I've found my vocation.

That's when I prune also ... and what I prune off is what I use for cuttings.

Cheers knowm. I'll strive to get the biggest of both that I can. I'm honestly considering using a 300 litre container for one plant. Would 400w be enough or should I go for 600 or 1000? Scratch that, I knowm (your pun) what you'll say. 1000 right? Just lots of wind and some Co2 enriched air, good ventilation too of course. Thanks again Knowm.
