Lighting question?

So, these various greens are not growing as fast as I'd like. I know most plants can't thrive under 24/7 lighting, like cannabis can, but I cna't find any info on other plants that can. Surely cannabis is not the only plant that does not need a dark cycle, unless they are to flower, auto flowers not included.

This being said, could I give these guys 24/7 lighting to speed up their growth, so I can put them outside sooner, or would it be detrimental to their health?

I run my vegy starts on a 20/4 light cycle.. Never tried 24/7.. There's only one way to find out..

Several years ago, I started 250 Red-Yellow-Orange Bell Pepper Plants, and 5 different kinds of Tomato plants, 300 Tomato plants altogether, under 24/7 with a 1000w Hortilux HPS, and had ZERO negative consequences. Medium, was Promix BX. And 18oz Solo Cups. Uline 32oz Deli Containers, are even better, as they support a much larger root ball. And when I set them out, they grew like hell. I also set them out, when it was overcast, and was expected to be overcast, for 3-4 days. Some plants cant take going straight from Lights, to full sun. It will often fry them. You can also put them in a shaded area for several days, slowly increasing direct sun exposure time.
Many plants mature by age, and not photo period.

I think any stated benefits of running with no dark period are debatable. Even autos I would run with at least a 4 hours of lights off.

One good reason someone might run 24/7 lights on is if they struggle to keep temps up.

Otherwise, save the electricity for a couple hours each day.

Ok, to give my lights a break, I'll give em 20/4. I just wanted to speed them up so they could go outside shortly. These are just greens, and it's very cloudy and rainy here constantly.

That being said, I don't think the sun frying them will be a major problem, haha!

That is good to know about the 24 hour peppers and tomato's though. That, I will do in a about a month!
