Lights off or on

Hi there I'm planning a trip away for 3 days an really am unsure whether to leave my 250 Watt HID lights on but Don't know if this would be safe or not
Any other options ?

A good strong timer should see u ok......wot about water make sure their well watered ....

Yeah I've got a timer connected to my light , just don't want to leave it on and a fire starts while I'm away

250 watts is nothing really, your cable box, computer and many other things in your residence uses more than 250 watts. Keep flammable material a couple feet away and you'll be good to go.

bare bulb or is it in a reflector with glass? in a reflector with glass will contain it if you do have a bulb failure.

It's a bulb with a reflector in a small tent I think it will be ok just wanted to make sure
